I am a Venezuelan, 29 years old. I recently moved to a new apartment in The Hague, together with my boyfriend, Rupert (33 years old), and we are so excited because we are allowed pets at home for the first time since we moved from our home country!
I grew up with dogs as part of my family and that's the kind of family I wish to have someday in the future. Given my current lifestyle (busy with my work, going frequently to the office), I'd like to wait a bit longer until I have enough time to dedicate to them. However, I miss spending time with dogs so much, that I've decided to open an account at petbnb, and give and receive love from dogs as much as possible for the time being.
I learned how to take care of dogs when I was a little girl. Our family dog, Bicho, stayed with us until I was 12 years old. After that, I was the go-to person to babysit the two dogs of my grandma and thereafter, the puppy of my aunt (all of them schnauzers). And not so long ago, I volunteered at the 'Animal Rescue' organization of Madrid (I studied my bachelor over there), where I'd take care of rescued dogs, take them for walks, and incentivize people to adopt them.
My boyfriend also has vast experience with dogs. He was lucky to raise a Weimaraner and have him as his companion for over 10 years, and he currently shares caring responsibilities of his sister's Poodle - they live in Hamburg and we babysit every now and then.
When it comes to my availability, I am always available during weekends -24 hours a day. However, if the booking is done some days in advance, arranging having a dog during the week is also possible, as I have the flexibility of working from home, which adds some extra availability for weekdays too.
