Hi, I'm Carla! Animals have always had a very special place in my life. Being around them makes me genuinely happy, and becoming a pet sitter is a way for me to spend more time doing something that truly fulfils me. My inspiration One of the biggest reasons behind this step is Zara, my American Bulldog. She was sweet, gentle and incredibly sociable, although, like the great lady she was , she could also be a little temperamental and selective! Zara taught me so much about respecting an animal's individual personality, needs and boundaries. When she passed away in October 2025, she left a huge space in my life. Her loss also made me realise how much being around animals means to me. It gave me an even stronger desire to spend my time caring for, learning from and simply being close to other animals. In many ways, becoming a pet sitter is my way of following that feeling. Our family and home I live with my husband and my teenage son, who both love animals just as much as I do and have been incredibly supportive of me taking this step. We also share our home with Bully, an American bully size pocket, a very special member of our family. I believe it's important to be completely transparent: we have a dog living in our home. For this reason, every dog staying with us will be carefully introduced and assessed beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I don't want to fill my home with as many dogs as possible. I prefer to offer a calm, loving family environment where every dog receives individual attention and care. A garden to play, relax and simply be a dog We have a large garden where dogs can enjoy the outdoors, play, explore and have some freedom. My garden is completely enclosed and secure, with mostly grass, giving dogs plenty of space to relax, explore and enjoy some outdoor time. I also enjoy providing mental enrichment activities, adapted to each dog's personality and needs. After all, keeping their minds active can be just as important or more then physical exercise! And of course, sometimes the best activity is doing absolutely nothing just simply relaxing on the grass and enjoying a little sun, when the Dutch weather allows it! Above all, I value the safety of every dog in my care. Our garden has been prepared with this in mind, so dogs can enjoy their time outside in a safe environment. My experience All my life i had contact with animals like dogs, cats, birds and even a very naughty parrot. Living with and caring for my own dogs has taught me a lot about routines, wellbeing and the importance of noticing even the smallest changes. I also have practical experience with dogs with allergies and sensitive skin, including skin-care routines and ongoing maintenance. Any specific care is always provided according to the owner's instructions and, where necessary, veterinary guidance. How I can help Loving home boarding for dogs, following a prior introduction Doggy day care Pet sitting and companionship Dog walks I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks through quite green surroundings, with canals and open spaces nearby. Every dog on my care will have 3 walks per day at least. There are also designated areas where dogs can safety enjoy some off- leash time. For safety reasons, i prefer to keep dogs on a leash during walks. The length of each walk depends on the will, energy and how much dog is having fun but in general, each walk lasts around 30 minutes, giving the dog a calm, relaxed moment. Home visits Feeding according to your pet's routine. Medication administration when clearly instructed. Can be daily skin care routine, pills or another type of medication. Playtime and mental enrichment Basic hygiene care. For over night stays, I have comfortable beds and crates available if necessary, depending on each dog's needs and what they are used to. Regular photo and video updates, ALWAYS For cats: Unfortunately, I can't host cats in my home because we have Bully, but I would be very happy to care for them in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. What matters most to me I know how difficult it can be to leave our pets in someone else's care. They are not "just animals", they are family. That's why I like to get to know every pet before caring for them. I want to understand their personality, routine, likes, dislikes and individual needs. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, respected and happy while you're away and to give you peace of mind knowing they are being cared for with genuine attention and affection. Ervaren dierenvrienden Rond De Energiecentrale

Wij zijn Nikki en Justus. Allebei zijn wij 28 en wonen en werken in Den Haag. Wij zijn ruim 8 jaar samen en hebben ons hele leven al huisdieren gehad. Toevallig zijn wij beide opgegroeid met Canadese Herders, dus we zijn wel wat gewend. Verder hebben wij ruime ervaring met het oppassen op een hoop verschillende honden door jaren lang Petbnb oppasser te zijn. Justus werkt vaak ‘s ochtends en ‘s middags en kan daarom de hond lekker vroeg uitlaten. Nikki werkt voornamelijk thuis en kan daarom makkelijk tussendoor de middag wandelingen doen. Wij hebben geen tuin, wel een balkon. Onze voordeur is op twee hoog en te bereiken door twee trappen. De honden die bij ons blijven moeten dus wel trap kunnen lopen, of het niet erg vinden om opgetild te worden. Graag passen wij op honden die voor een of meerdere dagen bij ons blijven. Zo past het huisdier perfect in ons leven en krijgt het alle aandacht dat het beestje verdient.

I hate to sound like a broken record here but I can't stress how amazing it is to be able to leave your beloved pet and not have a single worry about their care while you have to travel. Ranger stayed with Justus and Nikki again and we couldn't be more happy with the love and care he gets while with them.

All animals deserve daily attention!

I have had a German Shepard for all of my childhood who I took care of daily, walking her everyday and taking care of her. In her older years her back legs became paralysed so she had to use a wheelchair, so I have a lot of experience with older dogs who are not in their full mobility. More recently my parents got a Labrador puppy, who is full of energy, and not easy to walk, so I have a lot of experience with younger dogs as well who are not fully trained yet. I also have lived in a household with two cats, so I have experience of taking care of them and even walking a cat on a leash. I do not have a preference for kinds of dogs or cats, I approve of them all.

Vivi did an excellent job! Our little Ollie was taken such good care of and spoiled in all the best ways. :grin: She was also very responsive to our specific requests for how best to take care of him. He has some special needs and she made sure every need was cared for. She also sent us several pictures and videos the entire week. It was so nice to see him having such a lovely time. Toen ik overdag weg was, heeft Michelle Ella met veel zorg en aandacht uitgelaten. Ook was ze erg flexibel wanneer er gewisseld moest worden van dagen. Ella kan soms wat angstig zijn, maar Michelle ging daar heel goed mee om. Daardoor voelde Ella zich snel op haar gemak en verliep alles eigenlijk meteen heel prettig. Ik kan Michelle dan ook zeker aanbevelen!

I know how you feel while looking for a dog sitter because I had a dog until a few months ago and was contacting dog sitters myself until a few months ago! So I know how important it is to feel safe and sure that your loved animal is receiving the same attention and love when you are away. My last dog was a German Shepherd, but I have experience with large, medium, and small dogs. I have experience with difficult dogs, such as dogs that are easily scared by noises, have separation anxiety, and do not get along with other dogs or cats. My dog used to not get along with other dogs on the leash (but he was friendly at the dog park), so I can walk your pet while being vigilant, if you need this kind of service. My last dog needed to take an oral liquid medicine every day due to an autoimmune disease, so I also have experience in giving medicine via mouth! I live near Central Station and next to three parks, including one with a dedicated dog area, and my ground-floor apartment has a fenced garden too! I used to play with my dog in my fenced garden, and I will play with your dog too. Because I have had dogs in my life, and because I had one myself until a few months ago, I can provide the best love and care, treating your dog just like it's my dog. I will carefully listen to your needs and instructions and provide the best care possible. Gewoon goed met honden

Wij hebben ruim 30 jaar ervaring met honden en andere huisdieren. Nadat wij in september 2025 onze (intacte)Hollandse Herder reu in hebben moeten laten slapen hebben wij besloten om geen hond meer te nemen maar om zo nu en dan als oppas/logeeradres te fungeren. Wij wonen aan de rand van Vlaardingen, staan zo in de polder en houden van wandelen dus je hond krijgt beweging genoeg. Wel wonen wij in het midden dus je hond moet wel kunnen traplopen. Wij zijn niet altijd beschikbaar maar in overleg kunnen we altijd naar oplossingen kijken. Wij hebben geen voorkeur voor een ras of type hond maar houden wel van iets grotere honden. in principe passen we op 1 hond maar als het er 2 uit hetzelfde gezin zijn dan is dat ook goed.
