I had my own mixed Labrador, Pepe, who peacefully passed away last August at the age of 13.5. Since then, I’ve truly missed having my best buddy beside me for hikes in nature and swims by the sea. I live in the center of The Hague, within walking distance of forests and parks. I also have a fenced garden with a parasol that provides shade during the summer months. I only accept vaccinated dogs and prefer calm, non-aggressive, and non-excessively barking dogs so the neighbors are not disturbed. I am especially patient with senior dogs and still have all the necessary support equipment from caring for my elderly Pepe. I generally prefer dogs staying longer than 5 days, as it takes time for them to feel comfortable and get to know me, and I enjoy building a real connection with the dogs I care for. While your dog is staying with me, you can expect regular photo and video updates from our forest walks and outdoor adventures. During weekends, I often drive to the beach so the dogs can play, explore, and enjoy the sea as well. Dawn took great care of our dog while we were away. She gave him a lot of love and attention and I could tell by the videos he got comfortable really fast, to the point he wanted all attention for himself xD We are very grateful that she had the time and that Spico had a great time as well. I didn't feel the need to keep asking questions because Dawn seemed very reliable and good with dogs. Pepe is also a great company and a delight to be around. Also grateful to Pepe that he put up with our overly enthusiastic Spico who is indeed used to having all the attention, keeping his stuff his etc All in all, Dawn and Pepe are a great duo to take care of your dog while you are away!

For us, it’s their stay, their way! We allow them on the bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to. We always keep the water bowl full and pets happy and healthy. Our preference is always to look after your pet at your home, for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, your pet doesn’t have to suffer any stress due to a change in environment, they can keep doing what they do in the comfort of their own home :) secondly, if we housesit we can also make sure that alls well with the house itself :) we can sometimes arrange to keep your pet at our apartment, but this is not ideal for them in our opinion. We are both flexible with our schedules, so hopefully we should be able to help you out ! At the moment, Karina has a day job while Keir works in the evenings, so there’s always someone around for your pets needs :) We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special friends :)

Karina stayed in our house to look after our dog, McGregor, and cat, Greyton, over a period of five days. She was very accommodating of our needs and extremely kind and attentive to our pets, and stayed in communication with us every day. Absoluut een hondenmens

Al vanaf jongs af aan ben ik al dol op honden. Ik had dan ook het geluk dat we thuis een hond hadden, namelijk een drentsche patrijs. Helaas wonen mijn ouders helemaal aan de andere kant van het land en zie ik mijn hond niet meer zovaak. Ik vind het heerlijk om met honden te wandelen, spelen en knuffelen. Lekker naar het bos of naar het strand om de hond (en mezelf) vermoeid te maken zodat hij daarna lekker kan doezelen. Het is dan ook heel handig dat ik het Haagse bos mijn achtertuin kan noemen om zo altijd een goede ronde te kunnen lopen in een hondvriendelijke omgeving.

Dieren zijn mijn passie, ik heb op het moment 1 hond en 2 katten. Helaas is mijn hond wel bij mijn moeder gebleven omdat ze vond dat ik de twee katten al mocht meenemen. Het zijn twee gesteriliseerde vrouwtjes die goed omkunnen gaan met andere dieren. Ik heb voor een maand voor de katten voor een vriendin opgepast, ze woonde bij mij met mijn katten. Ik heb heel veel liefde voor dieren, ze maken mij onwijs blij en rustig. Ik ben van plan om later een dierenasiel te openen omdat ik zo een fan ben van dieren. Ik voel de dieren aan, wat ze nodig zouden hebben en kijk goed naar hun lichaamstaal. Ik hou rekening met wat ze fijn vinden en wat niet. Ik zou ook weten hoe ik kleine puppy's of kittens kan verzorgen, ik heb namelijk voor een maand 2 kittens opgevoed waarvan de moeder is helaas overleden. Verder heb ik meerdere nestjes verzorgd van katten. Ik heb ook nog mijn vriend thuis, hij is ook een dierenliefhebber, zorgt goed voor elk dier die ik mee naar huis heb genomen. :)
