We hebben tot nu toe zowel lange als korte opdrachten verzorgd voor verschillende katten en honden. Veelal bij mensen thuis zodat de hond en kat in zijn/haar vertrouwde omgeving kan blijven, maar ook bieden we oppas aan bij ons thuis (met enkele restricties*). Wij wonen in Maastricht en leiden een nomadisch leven. Tussen juni 2020 en december 2023 hebben we bijna 40.000 km gefietst in Europa, Noord- en Midden-Amerika. In mei 2023 zijn we begonnen met huis- en huisdierenoppassen toen we van Mexico naar Panama fietsten. 2024 stond volledig in het teken van oppasopdrachten in Midden-Amerika, Curaçao, Nederland en België. Vanuit ons "base camp" appartement in Maastricht zijn we op nieuw avontuur sinds 2025. Het is nu een combinatie van (internationale) oppasopdrachten en fietsen in Europa. Af en toe zullen we in Maastricht zijn. Dat is de periode dat we in ons appartement voor huisdieren kunnen zorgen. *We hebben weliswaar geen tuin, maar houden van lange wandelingen (in het bos / losloopgebied Sint Pieter). We wonen op de 2e etage zonder lift. Kleine honden tot middelmaatjes kunnen we eventueel optillen, maar grotere honden dienen trap te lopen. Waakse honden en honden met verlatingsangst kunnen wij helaas niet opvangen, omdat ons gebouw zeer gehorig is en we geen problemen met de buren willen krijgen. ‘s Nachts kan een student van een ander appartement laat thuiskomen en dan willen we niet dat de hond daarop reageert. Wat de verlatingsangst betreft: we zijn niet vaak van huis, maar we zoeken wel naar een hond die eventjes alleen thuis kan blijven als we bijvoorbeeld een boodschap moeten doen. We hebben geen vaste maanden voor onze activiteiten. We laten ons leiden door de mogelijkheden en onze planning en doen wat het beste voelt. We hebben beiden geen werkverplichtingen waardoor we veel thuis zullen zijn en 24/7 zorg kunnen bieden. We zijn actief, sportief, eten gezond en richten ons op de kleine dingen in het leven. Een typische dag ziet er als volgt uit: Vroeg uit de veren. Niets is lekkerder dan de frisse lucht in de ochtend. We maken graag lange wandelingen, bij voorkeur in het bos of op het strand. We sporten vier keer per week om fit te blijven. 's Middags speelt Ben graag gitaar en Linda leest, kookt en bakt graag. Daarnaast zijn we druk bezig met bloggen over onze nomadische levensstijl en het runnen van onze stichting. We passen onze flexibele routine aan de wensen en behoeften van uw hond/kat aan. We nemen de hond graag mee op onze wandelingen. Extra wandelingen, apporteren, borstelen, etenstijd enzovoort. Wij genieten daar enorm van. 's Avonds kijken we soms tv of een film. De hond of kat kan dan lekker bij ons liggen. Rond 22.00 uur is het tijd om te gaan slapen. Linda is een geweldige oppas. Veel geduld, kijkt goed wat onze hond nodig heeft om zich op z’n gemak te voelen en luistert naar de ‘gebruiksaanwijzing’ van onze hond en handelt daar ook naar. Heel fijn!

I have a cat who is 10 years old. I have had since a kitten. I also used to watch my parents dogs back in the States. I am currently in Pilates instructor training and I need a job that is flexible- that also means my calendar is flexible for times. I travel by bike or public transit so that is why I want to limit my travel distance, but I am willing to make exceptions if the dog and the dog owner are decent. Hondenoppas Maastricht :)

Honden zijn echt mijn favoriete dieren en kan het met bijna alle honden wel goed vinden. Ik heb al een tijdje ervaring met honden en wil dit graag gaan gebruiken! We hebben thuis eerst een labrador gehad, waarmee ik van kleins af aan al mee heb gespeeld etc. Helaas hebben we hem moeten laten inslapen… Nu hebben we al zo’n 4 jaar een heel erg lief kooikerhondje; Moos, waarmee ik ook de puppycursus heb gedaan. Ik moet hem alleen helaas doordeweeks missen als ik op kamers zit dus het zou me super leuk lijken om dan doordeweeks in contact te komen met andere honden :))
