Olá!!

My name is Mia. I'm from Lisbon, Portugal, however, I have been living in the Netherlands for the past year.

Here is a bit about myself: I would describe myself as a person who is passionate about life. I have the spirit of an adventurer and the heart of a traveller. I'm always searching for new challenges and looking toward growing as a person. I have always loved nature and the human-animal connection.

I absolutelyyyy love animals! (I reckon you can tell by now 😅) In fact, that's one of the reasons why I have been vegan for almost 4 years now. Growing up next to the beach, it was a major part of my life to have a drive to the beach with friends or alone and spend the sunset with our dogs as well as engaging with other people's pets. To be honest, the biggest reason why I have decided to register on Petbnb is because I have been missing for the past year the presence of an animal around. For 15 years I grew up with a cat in Portugal. As currently I don't have gathered all the conditions that they deserve to adopt a pet of my own (e.g. I live by myself so if I had to leave the house and couldn't take them, I wouldn't want them to be left alone) I thought I could make the best of the situation and spend time with your pet when you can't.

I have also had more than one WorkAway voluntary experience as well as have found great people through Couchsurfing App before. Guess one can say petsitting was the next on my bucket list 🤗
