Two dog-sitters and a buddy for your dog
Hello,
We are a Vietnamese-American couple that live in a corner house with a large backyard garden, with our dog Peanut. Peanut is a mixed rescue dog from Spain that we adopted at 5 month old.
We have decided to do dog-sitting at our place,
because as pet owners ourself, we understand so well the struggle to look for a dog sitter when going on holiday. Therefore we want to be part of the solution for other dog owners.
I am working half of the week at home, while Romano follows an online bachelor program. Therefore, your dog and our Peanut would rarely be left at home alone without one of us for more than 1-2 hours (we also have a pet camera at home). Of course, we can only take in dogs that get along with our Peanut who is very friendly and playful with other dogs and has never bitten anyone. We are actually very proud of Peanut, as many people including our friends and other dog sitters have told us that Peanut is a well behaved dog inside and outside.
The house has two levels, Peanut is not allowed upstair and he sleeps quietly throughout the night by himself downstair. We will let your buddy sleep downstair as well, always next to Peanut. We have a large garden where we have train Peanut to poop and pee in the same spot; we always train new dogs to use the same spot. We normally walk Peanut 2-3 times a day: 8am, 3pm, and 10pm, and feed him after the walk at 8.30am and at 5pm. Hence we will take your buddy on the same walk. Since we have areas where dogs can be off leash, we always encourage the dogs to release all their energy outside (either by playing with each other or fetch with us), and inside it should be quiet time for all dogs. We also have indoor foldable fences that we can put up to separate the dogs if one is too eager to play inside while the other just wants to rest. And certainly, we would for sure send you a lot photos of them playing and hopefully cuddling in bed. Peanut is a sharing type, he never has any issue with other dogs sleeping in the same bed with him, or to play with his toys and bones.
In principle, for new dogs, we only accept dogs above 1 year old, female dogs (not in heat) and neutered male dogs. We hope to help you out and find Peanut a play buddy! Practical Important Information: For boarding, the preferred dropoff time is after 7pm and the pickup time is before 6pm the next day For daycare, the prefered dropoff time is after 7am and the pickup time is before 7pm the same day -> we are flexible by a few hours; however pls let us know up front your preferred dropoff and pickup time before paying and booking
Could you please provide these things when delivering your buddy on the first day: · Food and treats enough for the duration of the stay · Harness/collar and leash · Food bowl and water bowl · Toys · Bed · If needed, unwashed clothes with the smell of the pet parent on them for reassurance · Dog passport with vaccination record When you have time, could you please also type out these things: · any diet/allergy restriction · any health or behavior issue (chewing, biting, afraid of something, peeing inside, etc) · eating and walking routine · vet address and phone number · Drop off time and pick up time
