Hi there! I've always been passionate about animals and I even became a vegetarian because of that. My boyfriend introduced me to PETBNB to fill in the void of not being with my own dogs while I couldn’t bring them to the Netherlands. Unfortunately I am not able to look after your dog in my own house, but I have no problem going to yours and make your puppies few as safe as they possibly can in their own environment. I have a positive approach so I don’t believe that being aggressive and showing yourself as an “alpha” is really effective. I have experience with cats and I don't have a problem with any breeds or reactive dogs, I have one myself so I know what it’s like and how to make them more comfortable. It’s all about the baby steps! I will give cuddles and pet them all day even if my hands fall off (if they like it, of course). I promise you that I can take care of your baby as if it was mine! While sitting I usually take a LOT of pictures to show you what are we up to, so I recommend saving a little space on your phone for the thousand pictures I will send you haha (I’m not joking). I have spent most of my life having one or more animals in the home, and I'm looking forward to spending time and caring for the animals of Amsterdam as well :) I am a patient and loving individual who has been missing having a doggie to take care of! When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian, as caring/watching over homeless animals in need always gave me joy. I have also been very vocal about animal rights in the past, raising fundraisers etc. I am very active and like spending time outdoors/in nature, but I am also happy to slow down and give extra attention to any pet who needs it!

Alexis was super attentive. She took a great care of our dog for which we are very grateful :)

I love dogs and dogs love me!

I prefer smaller dogs as I live in an apartment. I am great with taking care of dogs as I had many dogs throughout my life. I walk them often, play with them, keep them entertained and do further enriching activities. I know how to approach dogs and make them less anxious about changing environments. No preferences on breeds. I would also preferably dog sit on the weekends but I am very flexible. My boyfriend also lives with me so if I am not available the dog would never be alone. Pick me for dog sitting and your dog is not going to regret it :)

Een warme thuis voor jouw hond of kat 💕

Ik ben een echte dierenliefhebber! Helaas kan ik momenteel zelf geen dier adopteren omdat ik te veel reis. Dat vind ik ontzettend jammer, dus daarom lijkt het me heel leuk om af en toe op iemand anders zijn hond of kat te passen. Van huis uit heb ik altijd dieren gehad, waaronder een Duitse herder, een rottweiler, een Maltezer en meerdere katten. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende karakters en behoeften. Daarnaast pas ik regelmatig op de hond van mijn zus, een rescue uit Spanje. Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel aanwezig ben. Dat maakt mijn huis ook geschikt voor diertjes die niet zo graag lang alleen zijn. Ik houd zowel van korte als lange wandelingen en neem honden, afhankelijk van hun karakter, graag mee op pad. Natuurlijk is er thuis ook genoeg tijd om te spelen, knuffelen of gewoon lekker te ontspannen. Daarnaast heb ik een fijn tuintje waar honden en katten lekker kunnen relaxen als het mooi weer is. Mensen omschrijven mij als rustig, warm en zorgzaam. Wat je van mij kunt verwachten? Veel liefde en aandacht voor je dier, regelmatige updates en foto’s, en de geruststelling dat je huisdier in goede handen is. Ik plan vooraf altijd graag even een kennismaking in, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede match is. Voor de rest woon ik op 40m² met een tuin, dus voor hele grote honden is mijn woning waarschijnlijk minder geschikt. Goed om te weten: omdat ik op de begane grond woon, hoor je soms geluiden uit het trappenhuis. Daarom is mijn woning minder geschikt voor honden die erg waaks zijn of snel aanslaan bij geluiden. Voor vragen mag je altijd contact opnemen! 🐾

Shamira took really good care of Henri. He had plenty of exercise, was very well looked after, and came back home happy and relaxed. She also sent us daily updates with pictures and videos, which was really nice and reassuring. We would definitely recommend her!
