I have lived with a cat since I was 6 years old. She was my best friend. When i got older, around 13 or so, my cat got sick so I wanted to be the one giving her medicine (oral) and feeding her. Sadly,she passed in 2024 and later we adopted another cat, which became my other best friend. Ik ben Bloem, een 22 jarige studente woonachtig in Amsterdam. Nu ik op mezelf in Amsterdam woon mis ik het ontzettend om veel met honden te zijn. Ik studeer op dit moment Politicologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam (2e jaars) en woon in het centrum. Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Ik heb tussen mijn wisselende diensten door, nog genoeg tijd om te wandelen en/of op te passen. Riley en ik zouden het leuk vinden als er leuke honden over de vloer komen. Om mee te wandelen / spelen en chillen. Ik kan uw hond een warm, liefdevol en betrouwbaar plekje geven. Ook genoeg aandacht zal er niet ontbreken. Er zijn hier genoeg mooie wandelgebieden, voor heerlijke wandelingen. We hebben keus uit het strand, bos, park en het poldergebied. Thuis lekker uitrusten, op een eigen plekje of bij mij op de bank. Ik heb ook een tuintje waar de honden gebruik van mogen maken. Riley is een kruising tussen een Beagle, Cocker Spaniel en een Boomer. Ze is in huis een rustig hondje, maar als er een hond graag wilt spelen, is zij daar zeker ook voor in! Het is wel belangrijk dat uw hond samen kan met Riley :) Liefst geen hond die mij buiten omver trekt :) Graag maken wij kennis met jullie en hoor ik wat jullie behoeftes zijn! Zien wij jullie snel? Voor vragen, stuur gerust een berichtje! Omdat ik in de zorg werk, weet ik mijn beschikbaarheid niet maanden van tevoren. Doordeweekse aanvragen zijn vrijwel altijd mogelijk.
