Since leaving my parents place when I was 18, I have been craving to be able to take care of dogs. During my whole childhood I grew up around (big) dogs at my grandparent's house as well as at my home. My grandpa taught me the do's and don'ts and how to train them and I would regularly take care of their dogs as well as the dogs of family friends. From age 10 to 18 we also had a male German Sheppard at home who I always felt was my "bear" brother. I'm definitely the kind of guy who will stop in the middle of the street to chat with someone about their dog and ask if I can pet him/her. I'm not afraid of any type of dog and feel confident being able to impose myself when needed while remaining calm and respectful. I'm a sporty guy who goes outside a lot and likes to go for long walks in nature or a run - also with my friends or my girlfriend. I could play with dogs for hours. I currently live on the top floor of a spacious flat with rooftop in Oud West near most of the big parks including Westerpark, Rembrandtpark, Erasmuspark and Vondelpark. Regarding the prices and hours, I'm quite flexible and happy to discuss them with you as for me this is really more of a pleasure than a side job. I currently work at New Balance and am flexible to work from home whenever I want and to structure my days to my needs. Rennen, spelen, chillen; ik doe het allemaal.

Hoi, Robin hier! Ik ben opgegroeid met een Dobermann in huis, wat nog steeds één van mijn favoriete rassen is. Hij was fantastisch afgericht, geobsedeerd met ballen en mijn beste vriend. Later kwamen er twee Franse Bassets in huis. Erg schattig, maar ook lekker lui. Deze hondjes hebben de tijd nodig om te snuffelen, dus hoe ik eerst kon rennen en gooien met mijn hond, moest ik nu rustig lopen en soms zelfs even wachten tot de hondjes weer een beetje bij mij in de buurt waren. In mijn tussenjaar woonde ik bij een gezin met twee hondjes uit Ecuador, die allebei totaal verschillend waren. De kleine wilde graag geaaid worden en spelen en de grotere waardeerde rust en af en toe een aai over haar bol, maar hield wel van rennen tijdens het wandelen. Naast dit alles heb ik nog vrijwilligerswerk gedaan bij een asiel. Kortom, aan ervaring met verschillende honden heb ik geen tekort. Op het moment studeer ik in Amsterdam. Ik woon in een 18m2 kamertje, waardoor ik liever geen grote honden langs heb, maar wandelen met grotere rassen is zeker geen probleem. Mijn beschikbaarheid varieert, maar overdag heb ik vaak veel vrije tijd, ‘s avonds iets minder.

Lief, duidelijk, behulpzaam. Ze kan goed omgaan met onze springende Hollandse herder. aanrader!

Samen met mijn vriendin woon ik bij de Amstel in Amsterdam. Voor amsterdam een redelijk rustige omgeving met veel parken in de buurt. We live just a two-minute walk from Oosterpark, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime if your dog needs a lot of outside time. There’s almost always someone home, so your pet will rarely be alone and I can guarantee will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I can also help with oral medication if your dog needs it mixed into food, as I've done this with my Labrador. One thing to note however, our apartment is on the second floor with typical Amsterdam stairs. Most dogs manage just fine, but if your animal has mobility issues, it’s something to consider. I’m available any time and happy to help, whether it’s for a weekend, a longer stay, or a last-minute booking. Your pet will be cared for in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment where we'll make sure they'll feel right at home!
