When you're in need of day-care or someone to watch over your dog for a night, I'm here to help! I understand the importance of ensuring your dog feels comfortable in their surroundings, so I do my best to ensure your dog has a relaxing stay. Your furry friend will enjoy long walks in the picturesque countryside, playful runs in our fenced garden, and cozy cuddle sessions on the couch.

During their stay, your dog will not only be in my care but will also have the company of Mai, our young Podenco. Therefore, it's crucial to schedule a test walk/play date to ensure compatibility. 😊 If desired, we can arrange multiple meet-ups beforehand to help your dog become more familiar with us. Once everything goes smoothly, we can confirm the booking.

Mai is the main reason why I specifically mention sighthounds in the title. Because of their similar play styles, Mai often thrives with another sighthound. Her running and quirky habits might sometimes be a bit overwhelming for other dog breeds. Not to mention, our house is prepared with numerous soft surfaces to maximise the comfort for slender sighthounds. That's why we primarily cater to sighthounds on our PetBnB. 😊

A bit about the house:
We reside on the first floor of a shared farmhouse. While we've our own private fenced garden with ample space for running and playing, access to it is through the neighboring garden. As your dog makes their way through, they'll encounter a senior German Shepherd (female), two goats, chickens, and a horse, all (except for the shepherd) safely confined to their designated areas, of course. Inside the house, we have a dedicated room for dogs equipped with their own beds and amenities, though they can of course roam around in other areas. Additionally, there's a small balcony perfect for a sighthound sunbathing.

A bit about me:
I grew up with mixed-breed dogs and have always cherished my time with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Unable to have a dog in my first small Amsterdam apartment, I spent two years volunteering at a local shelter, where I gained valuable experience in dog-walking and care. This experience, coupled with training in handling various situations, has equipped me well for dog-sitting. Since welcoming Mai into my life, I've happily opened my home to provide dog day-care and occasional boarding. Both Mai and I benefit from the extra canine companionship, and I understand the challenges of finding a reliable place for your dog.

In addition to myself and Mai, my boyfriend also resides here. While he primarily works from the office, he may be present during occasional days, but rest assured he has also grown up with dogs and enjoys their company.

Note: I'm open to hosting dogs from different households simultaneously for day-care, but this will only be arranged after consulting with both families. Additionally, I prefer at least one of the dogs to have stayed with us before, so I have some familiarity with their habits.
