Hi :) Me and my girlfriend Maja are expats living in Rotterdam for 2+ years, and we recently moved to a pet friendly home! We've always loved pets, I've myself had dogs back in Portugal (my home country) since I was 10 years old. I currently have 3 and I miss them every day.. I'm a software engineer and my girlfriend manages a fitness studio, we often work from home so we have a lot of flexibily in terms of scheduling. We would love to get our own pets but we often travel back to our home countries so it would be difficult to balance both things at the moment. So while our lives slowly get more stable it would really make us happy to help you take care of your pets. :)

Our preference is always to look after your pet at your home, for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, your pet doesn’t have to suffer any stress due to a change in environment, they can keep doing what they do in the comfort of their own home :) secondly, if we housesit we can also make sure that alls well with the house itself :) we can sometimes arrange to keep your pet at our apartment, but this is not ideal for them in our opinion. We are both flexible with our schedules, so hopefully we should be able to help you out ! At the moment, Karina has a day job while Keir works in the evenings, so there’s always someone around for your pets needs :) We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special friends :)

Karina stayed in our house to look after our dog, McGregor, and cat, Greyton, over a period of five days. She was very accommodating of our needs and extremely kind and attentive to our pets, and stayed in communication with us every day. We came back to find the house was spotless and the animals very happy indeed! I recommend Karina whole-heartedly and without any reservation!

Absoluut een hondenmens

Al vanaf jongs af aan ben ik al dol op honden. Ik had dan ook het geluk dat we thuis een hond hadden, namelijk een drentsche patrijs. Helaas wonen mijn ouders helemaal aan de andere kant van het land en zie ik mijn hond niet meer zovaak. Ik vind het heerlijk om met honden te wandelen, spelen en knuffelen. Lekker naar het bos of naar het strand om de hond (en mezelf) vermoeid te maken zodat hij daarna lekker kan doezelen. Het is dan ook heel handig dat ik het Haagse bos mijn achtertuin kan noemen om zo altijd een goede ronde te kunnen lopen in een hondvriendelijke omgeving.

I kept a dog in my family for almos five years, but she died due to ingestion of poisonous rat. I still miss the warm experience with her and she really enjoyed me touching her belly. She is like a supporter especially when I feel depressed. After I came to Delft and moved into a small apartment, I think the small living space is not good for a pet, so I didn’t keep one like before. Dieren waren altijd mijn nummer 1

Sinds dat ik klein ben hou ik van dieren. Alle soorten dieren, al zijn het vissen, papegaaien, konijnen, ratjes en noem maar op. Ik heb veel ervaring met dieren, sinds dat ik drie ben zijn er altijd dieren in mijn huis geweest. Ik heb ervaring met, konijnen, kittens en katten, honden, parkietjes, vissen, ratjes en hamsters. Het zijn twee gesteriliseerde vrouwtjes die goed omkunnen gaan met andere dieren. Ik heb voor een maand voor de katten voor een vriendin opgepast, ze woonde bij mij met mijn katten. Ik heb heel veel liefde voor dieren, ze maken mij onwijs blij en rustig. Ik ben van plan om later een dierenasiel te openen omdat ik zo een fan ben van dieren. Ik voel de dieren aan, wat ze nodig zouden hebben en kijk goed naar hun lichaamstaal. Ik hou rekening met wat ze fijn vinden en wat niet. Ik zou ook weten hoe ik kleine puppy's of kittens kan verzorgen, ik heb namelijk voor een maand 2 kittens opgevoed waarvan de moeder is helaas overleden. Verder heb ik meerdere nestjes verzorgd van katten. Ik heb ook nog mijn vriend thuis, hij is ook een dierenliefhebber, zorgt goed voor elk dier die ik mee naar huis heb genomen. :)

Jong stel met ervaring met huisdieren

We zijn een jong stel (30 & 24) die zijn opgegroeid met dieren om ons heen (honden, paarden, katten, schapen, kippen, vogels). Nu we na onze studenten/starters tijd wat meer ritme en tijd hebben, willen we graag een hond om ons heen. Daarom zijn we op zoek naar leuke oppashonden. We houden erg van het buitenleven en wandelen graag in het bos, over het strand of door de weilanden. We hebben een ruim appartement met een balkon, genoeg plek voor een hond. We beschikken daarnaast over een auto. We hebben veel ervaring met eigen honden en kunnen voldoende aandacht & beweging geven en daarnaast zorg dragen mocht er een keer iets met de hond zijn. We zijn in principe alleen beschikbaar in de weekenden ivm werk. Op werkdagen oppassen is mogelijk in overleg, mits het oppassen min. 7 dagen aaneengesloten betreft. Let op: gezien we in een bovenwoning wonen moet de hond kunnen traplopen/makkelijk te tillen zijn.

Moos heeft een fantastische verblijf gehad. Ik kreeg geregeld een foto of filmpje waarop ik kon zien hoe ontspannen Moos was. Erg blij met de opvang

Beste hondenbaasje! Ik ben Eva, 29 jaar en ik woon in het Valkenboskwartier. Vanaf mijn 14e heb ik een hond gehad. Mijn eerste hond was een Border Collie reu, waar we in december 2023 na ruim 13 jaar helaas afscheid van hebben moeten nemen. In augustus 2025 hebben wij een puppy Toller Retriever teefje kruising in huis: Chouffe. Ik merk dat ik heel veel plezier haal uit het knuffelen en wandelen met haar. Soms moet je ergens zijn waarbij de hond helaas niet meekan! Mochten er in de buurt baasjes zijn die soms even krap zitten met de tijd, wil ik mij graag beschikbaar stellen voor een wandeling en een knuffel voor je viervoeter. Ik heb met name veel affiniteit en ervaring met (actieve) middelgrote tot grote honden zoals Border Collies, Australian Shephard en Duitse Herder, maar rustige en goed getrainde grotere of kleinere honden zijn ook mogelijk. Ik wandel niet met honden die erg reactief zijn en continu uitvallen of met een muilkorf moeten lopen. Natuurlijk wil ik nog steeds met ze komen spelen en knuffelen bij een huisbezoek.

A person who doesn’t like dogs can not like humans

Before moving to the Netherlands I myself had a husky, a chow chow and a mix german shepard. I adore dogs and enjoy being in their presence. I love playing and taking care of dogs as the only thing they ask for is unconditional love. I believe especially now in the summer its the best time to help people with their dogs as I would have more opporunity to be outside and help people while they are on vacations. I lived on a farm with over 10 dogs as a kid which began my love and passion for dogs. Throughout all my ups and downs, I could always lean back to the support of my dog. Basel took care of our two dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation and he was phenomenal! Our dogs had tons of long fun walks, he sent photos, and they came home relaxed and well- behaved from there stay with Basel. I can tell he was patient, kind, and consistent with his care for our dogs. We will use him again!
