Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover, and dogs have always been part of my life. Growing up, we had several dogs at home, from small to large, and I’ve been involved in everything from everyday care and walks to giving medication and looking after dogs when they’re unwell. Since moving to the Netherlands, I’ve continued to dog-sit for friends and family, often having their dogs stay with us for several days while they’re away. I work from home at least three days a week with a flexible schedule, so your dog will have lots of company, attention and regular walks throughout the day. I have had a German Shepard for all of my childhood who I took care of daily, walking her everyday and taking care of her. In her older years her back legs became paralysed so she had to use a wheelchair, so I have a lot of experience with older dogs who are not in their full mobility. More recently my parents got a Labrador puppy, who is full of energy, and not easy to walk, so I have a lot of experience with younger dogs as well who are not fully trained yet. Wij zijn Eline, Dylan en onze kleine zoon Siem; drie enorme hondenliefhebbers. Op dit moment hebben we zelf geen hond, maar het begint steeds meer te kriebelen… Daarom vinden we het heerlijk om via Petbnb af en toe een viervoeter in huis te hebben. Waarom bij ons? Dylan heeft een bak aan ervaring met allerlei hondenrassen. Hij groeide op met een Berner Senner en later een Jack Russell, en heeft daarna zelfs vijf labradors opgevoed voor het KNGF. Drie daarvan wonen nu met pensioen bij zijn ouders — dus die zien we ook vaak. In de familie wemelt het daarnaast van de honden: mopshonden, teckels, labradoodles… noem maar op. Door deze ervaring weten we precies hoe we honden op een rustige, duidelijke manier benaderen. Daardoor voelen ze zich bij ons snel veilig en op hun gemak. Onze omgeving We wonen in een buurt met: • een eigen tuin, • meerdere hondenrenveldjes, • én natuurgebied De Zuidpolder op loopafstand, ideaal voor mooie wandelingen. Belangrijk om te weten We hebben een vrolijk mannetje van 1,5 jaar rondlopen. Daarom vinden we het belangrijk dat de oppashond goed met kinderen kan omgaan. Wij zijn een gezin van papa, mama en 2 meiden (2,5 jaar en 9 jaar) en ons gezin had nog een geliefde Duitse herder Johnny. Na 13,5 jaar is hij niet meer met ons maar de liefde voor honden is er nog steeds. Voor nu hebben wij besloten om geen andere hond te nemen maar wij kunnen we af en toe oppassen. Bij inrichting van ons huis hebben wij rekening gehouden met de hond, ik werk heel veel vanuit huis en ik kan uw hond regelmatig uitlaten. De meiden zijn gek op honden. Oppassen op uw hond is geen business voor ons, wij willen uw hond een paar leuke dagen bezorgen en even genieten van een viervoeter thuis. Hoi! Mijn hele leven ben ik opgegroeid met honden, waardoor ik me helemaal thuis voel in de buurt van dieren. I have experience with difficult dogs, such as dogs that are easily scared by noises, have separation anxiety, and do not get along with other dogs or cats. My dog used to not get along with other dogs on the leash (but he was friendly at the dog park), so I can walk your pet while being vigilant, if you need this kind of service. My last dog needed to take an oral liquid medicine every day due to an autoimmune disease, so I also have experience in giving medicine via mouth! I live near Central Station and next to three parks, including one with a dedicated dog area, and my ground-floor apartment has a fenced garden too! I used to play with my dog in my fenced garden, and I will play with your dog too. Because I have had dogs in my life, and because I had one myself until a few months ago, I can provide the best love and care, treating your dog just like it's my dog. I will carefully listen to your needs and instructions and provide the best care possible. I’ve grown up around dogs—my family always had them, and I spent my childhood with a Golden Retriever by my side. Over the years, I’ve walked and pet-sat for both friends and strangers, from quick walks to overnight stays. I also have two cats of my own and regularly cat-sit for friends. Ik hou onwijs van uitgebreide wandelingen in de natuur en neem dan ook graag jouw hond hiermee naartoe! In het verleden ben ik wel oppas voor katten en honden van buren geweest, en dat wil ik nu voor meer mensen gaan doen. Ik heb een auto, dus ben mobiel, en vind het geen moeite om een of twee keer per dag op katten in de buurt te passen, of honduitlaatservice (30 minuten per buurt) te bieden. Eten, water, spelen, fototje maken.. noem maar op! Ik ben in Engeland geboren dus 'no problem to speak english'. Ik spreek ook Frans en Duits als dat nodig is. Als je mij wilt boeken, doen we eerst altijd een kennismakinggesprek, zo kunnen we richtlijjnen en dergelijken bespreken. Ik ben door de weeks vanaf 08.30 beschikbaar sochtends, smiddags, en savonds ook in de weekend. Laat me weten wa je nodig hebt.
