Hi! It’s Clara, Italian living in Amsterdam :) My little Maya, a 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, taught me patience and unconditional love for animals. During these 12 years caring for her with my mom, I learned to understand her and all her needs with just one tail shake or gaze (even though she is learning to speak Italian :) ). Since I moved to the Netherlands for my studies in 2022, she now lives with my mom, but I facetime her everyday :). Ik ben een enthousiaste dierenliefhebber die het gezellig vindt omringd te zijn met dieren. Bovendien houd van de natuur, wandelen en bewegen en doe ik dit het liefst samen met een of meerdere hondjes. Katten vind ik ook mega gezellig en leuk om mee te knuffelen of spelen (als ze me goedkeuren ;)). Ik heb oppaservaring met verschillende katten: van oude katten tot piepkleine kittens en van binnen- tot buitenkatten. Zelf heb ik altijd katten gehad, nu nog eentje, een hele gezellige oude binnenkat die lekker z'n eigen gang gaat. Ook pas ik geregeld op de honden van vrienden of van mijn ouders. Het liefst pas ik op niet al te grote of agressieve honden. Bij katten vind ik eigenlijk elke kat leuk! Stuur me een berichtje als je een betrouwbare, gezellige en enthousiaste oppas wil!

Grew Up with Dogs, Happy to Care for Yours

I’m 25 and grew up with dogs my whole life. In my photo album, you’ll spot a little version of me with Bella, my first dog. She was a rescue, sweet, nervous, and the ultimate cuddle buddy. Not much of a fetch player though. Losing her was my first real heartbreak. Later came Otto, the fluffy white guy in the other photos. He’s my soulmate in dog form. We did everything together. Cooking, talking, lounging around. He would follow me from room to room like a shadow with a tail. Since moving abroad, I miss him more than anything. Right now I’m not in a place to have a dog of my own, but I really miss the company. I’ve looked after friends’ dogs here and there and thought, why not do it more often. I live with my boyfriend, who also loves dogs and works hybrid, mostly from home. Together, we share the care of any dogs I dog sit, making sure they receive plenty of attention and companionship. If one of us is away, the other is always there, so the dog is never left alone, and if they are, it is only for a very short time. His picture can be seen in the library with the other photos. We’d love to spend time with your dog, spoil them a little, and make them feel at home while you’re away.

Paula was available to dogsit Enzo in very short notice, and accomodated him amazingly. Not only was it very easy to communicate beforehand, on the day itself I received pictures and regular updates, he had nice long walks and loads of cuddles. When he came home, he was super happy and nice and tired of such a lovely day. Enzo will definitely be coming back, if they"ll have them. Thank you so much for the great care.
