Hi! I’m a second-year political science student with a big love for animals and lots of experience in caring for them. While my own two dogs—a calm and sweet 9-year-old brown Labrador and a velcro-dog 2-year-old Chihuahua—are currently back home in France with my family, I’ve been surrounded by pets most of my life. I also spent six years abroad when I was younger, where I had eight rabbits, and I’ve looked after cats and dogs of all kinds, including terriers and a Golden Retriever. Here in Amsterdam, I live with roommates who have pets of their own back home; a cat and two Chihuahuas. So we're all used to caring for animals. I’m used to animals with different personalities, and I especially love spending time with affectionate, velcro-type dogs who like to stick close and get plenty of attention. I’m also happy to play, cuddle, or just be a calming presence for older pets. We live just a two-minute walk from Oosterpark, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime if your dog needs a lot of outside time. There’s almost always someone home, so your pet will rarely be alone and I can guarantee will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I can also help with oral medication if your dog needs it mixed into food, as I've done this with my Labrador. One thing to note however, our apartment is on the second floor with typical Amsterdam stairs. Most dogs manage just fine, but if your animal has mobility issues, it’s something to consider. I’m available any time and happy to help, whether it’s for a weekend, a longer stay, or a last-minute booking. Your pet will be cared for in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment where we'll make sure they'll feel right at home!

Al sinds ik heel jong ben, ben ik gewend aan dieren om me heen. Ik zou mezelf dan ook omschrijven als een echte dierenvriend. Mijn ouders hebben een labradoodle en daardoor heb ik ook ervaring met het passen op honden. Ze hebben ook altijd katten gehad, dus ik weet ook goed hoe ik met hen om moet gaan. Als ik nu op een huisdier van iemand zou passen, dan zou ik er voor zorgen dat het dier zich op zijn/haar gemak voelt en er rustig mee om gaan. En ik zou luisteren naar de behoeftes van het baasje en me daar netjes aan houden.

Onze Monty was bij Berber in goede handen. Ze is betrouwbaar, op tijd en heel vriendelijk. Monty heeft een heerlijke wandeling gehad!

Up for running around or pets and cuddles!

Have just moved to the Netherlands from Ireland and have had to leave my family dogs behind- missing company on my walks and evening cuddles. I know how to tire a dog out with a good walk (and lots of patient sniff stops of they’re that way inclined!) or give them attention if that’s what they need. I understand that all owners have their own way with their pets and am more than happy to follow those rules too. I got my first dog named Coco when I was fourteen and was somewhat unprincipled and very spoiled. The second dog I adopted a year later. Because I have dogs I couldn't bear to see a puppy living a miserable life, so I bought this puppy from a neighbour who was selling dogs and named him DD. After that it was my family who adopted a stray dog in 2019 and named her Sunny.Sunny is really tame and has recently passed her therapy dog exam and is already able to read with the kids. In 2021, we adopted our first kitten in the family, named "Joey", and she has been living with dogs ever since. I'll throw a ball and play with them when I walk the dogs and pick up dog poop on walks.
