Gul was an amazing pet sitter for my dog Sandy. Hey! Me and my very friendly and social Cockapoo are always excited to have other dogs join us. As with my own dog, I will make sure your dog is safe and happy with us for when you return to pick them up. As i do have a dog, I ask that we first meet so i can observe how the dogs get along first. It is very important to me that the dogs are comfortable together and enjoy themselves (both when playing and during rest). So, before any over night requests, let’s first start with a few hours at my place during the day. My home: I live in a doggy proofed apartment next to the Venserpolder metro and Duivendrecht train station with everything a dog might need or want including toys and snacks for days. While here: Nearby by, there are many green spaces (right next to my front door) and a dog walking path is located within a few mins walk away. The are also happens to be an off leash area for dogs to run around (if your dog can be let off leash and has a good recall). So, whether your dog loves to go out for a walk in the woods, run in open fields or sniffing grass, my dog and I are ready to join. For longer stays with me, I will also take the dogs to the beach (Bloomendal) or a bigger green area (Diemen Bos, Amsterdamse Bos, Gasperplas) where they can run freely once or twice a week. I take my dog out for walks every 4-6 hours (happy to adjust as needed for your dog). Text me if you have any questions for me or if you have any unique requirements your dog may need.

My dog Toni had a great day with Gautham and his dog Coco. Also de communication was very good. I'd be happy to leave Toni with them again sometime.

Dierenliefhebber met ervaring zoekt wandelmaatjes

Ik hou zo veel van honden & katten (en andere dieren)!!! Ik heb zelf nooit een eigen hond gehad, o.a. omdat ik katten had en veel reisde. Maar ik heb altijd geholpen met het zorgen voor (en soms ook het opvoeden van) honden van vrienden en buren waaronder een Cane corso, 2 Staffies en een Duitse herder. Ik heb tijdens de covid/lockdown periode ook een aantal maanden een rescue (pitbull) opgevangen die met spoed een opvang plek nodig had, omdat ik toen nog voltijd vanuit huis werkte en hier de tijd voor had. Dit heb ik ook een aantal weken gedaan voor een ander klein hondje en 2 katten waarvan de eigenaar overleden was. Ik vond het super fijn dat ik ze kon helpen en extra aandacht aan ze kon geven in die periode. Ik werk nu 3 dagen op kantoor en mijn partner 5 dagen dus helaas zit een hond voor onszelf er op dit moment niet in. Maar ik zou het heel leuk vinden om af en toe gezellig te wandelen en/of op te passen en hiermee iemand in nood te helpen.

I am a student studying at the VU. I have been pet sitting for almost 3 years now here in Amsterdam. I have taken care of 50+ different dogs and cats until now and I am experienced with different breeds and habits of pets. Originally I am from China, and I am currently studying at the VU. I have a cat and a dog back home (the cat is 5 years old, and the dog is 6 years old). I've been responsible for taking care of them since they were a few weeks old, so I'm really used to the life rhythm with these cute little angels around. In 2024, I volunteered at an animal rescue center in Crete, Greece, where I had to take care of 15+ dogs. I enjoyed spending the whole day with them, taking them to the beach, and cooking for them. I treat my pets as my friends – not only loving and caring for them, but I also pay attention to the small habits and characteristics that make them unique. This is what motivated me to become a pet sitter, to make more fluffy animal friends! I study at home most of the time, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. My daily routine is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit the walking/feeding time of your pet. I love sleeping with dogs and cats too and I am happy to let your pet be in all places in the house. But if there’s specific requirements for no pets in bedroom/on couch etc I will also follow them. For house sitting, I will make sure to keep the place tidy, water plants/ pick up deliveries if needed, will also do a thorough clean up at the end of the sit. I will make sure to be careful with windows and doors, not letting the pet get out accidentally. Ofcourse, I will also ensure not to leave food out unattended. During heatwave I will keep a close eye on the behavior of the pet, for dog walks I will also check the temperature of the ground before leaving.

The Biggest Animal Lover You’ll Ever Meet

I grew up with all types of animals back in North Carolina, from dogs to lizards, you name it. I learned how to care for creatures, big to small, whether they were my own pets or not. While living in Amsterdam for 9 years I have taken on a few opportunities to pet sit and loved it. Now that I have two cats (one even had kittens last summer!) at home, I sadly can’t do boarding like I used to, but I’m happy to get outside for some fresh air with a walk or two, and pop by a home to check on the fur babies. DUTCH: Ik ben zeer verantwoordelijk, ben dol op honden, het uitlaten, spelen en met ze knuffelen. Ik pas mij gemakkelijk aan de regels waar je huisdier al aan gewend is. Ik pas het liefst op honden die max. een half uur per x uit moeten (al ben ik dol op af en toe een lange wandeling te maken). Het enige waar ik mee heb, is 'valse' honden, ofwel honden die agressief zijn aangelegd waar je erg streng tegen moet zijn. Ik laat zeker zien wie 'de leider' is, maar vind het fijn om onbezorgd de hond uit te kunnen laten. Ik ben in het algemeen een dierenliefhebber, dus voor katten of andere dieren mag je me ook zeker benaderen! Ik heb de meeste ervaring met honden, katten, konijnen en vogels. Locaties: Amsterdam west (hoge voorkeur), Amsterdam centrum & zuid, Amstelveen. Locaties inc. gebruik mogelijk van een auto: Haarlem, Overveen, Amsterdam noord, Amsterdam oost en zuidoost. Talen: Ik spreek Engels, Spaans en Nederlands vloeiend. Reviews: Ik heb nog niet eerder via petbnb aan housesitting gedaan maar kan je voorzien van meerdere positieve reviews die ik via andere wijze heb gevonden! --- ENGLISH: I am very responsible, love dogs, walking them, playing and cuddling them. I easily adapt to the rules that your pet is already used to. I prefer to take care of dogs that need to be out for a maximum of half an hour each time (although I love to take a long walk every now and then). The only thing I have a problem with is 'cheat' dogs, or dogs that are aggressive and you have to be very strict with them. I certainly show who 'the leader' is, but I like being able to walk the dog without any worries. I am an animal lover in general, so you can definitely contact me for cats or other animals! Een dierenvriend, opgegroeid met honden en katten!

Naast mijn werk als interieurontwerper pas ik met veel liefde op huisdieren. Omdat ik vanuit huis werk en flexibel ben, heb ik hier de ruimte voor. Ik ben opgegroeid met drie katten en een hond en pas regelmatig op de honden van mijn moeder en zus. Dit geeft me zoveel plezier dat ik ze altijd mis zodra ze weer weg zijn. Zelf wil ik in de toekomst graag een hond, maar pas als ik zeker weet dat ik een stabiel en liefdevol thuis kan bieden (het liefst samen met een partner). Tot die tijd lijkt het me geweldig om af en toe een warm en vertrouwd logeeradres te zijn voor uw huisdier. Daarnaast heb ik veel ervaring als nanny, waardoor ik gewend ben om zorgvuldig met andermans huis om te gaan. Ik kijk ernaar uit om mijn tijd, aandacht en liefde te geven aan uw huisdier!

Op Sophie kan je bouwen. Tijdens onze vakantie paste zij op onze hond. Zij stelde ons goed op de hoogte van het wel en wee. Sophie is vriendelijk, betrokken en bleek kordaat in communicatie en handelen; wij waren erg blij met haar goede zorg tijdens onze afwezigheid en kunnen haar zonder enige terughoudendheid aanraden.
