Hi friends and fellow animal lovers! 😊 I’m Mia, a 25-year-old artist from Croatia. A few years ago, I moved to Amsterdam to study at the Academy of Theatre and Dance, and as I now approach the end of my studies, I work as a creative producer and dancer with a highly flexible schedule—ready to adjust to you and your pet’s needs. I live right next to Sloterplas, so if your pet and I have a sleepover at my place, we’ll enjoy beautiful walks by the lake, catching sunrises and sunsets in nature. I’m also available for other pet care services, as my dear electric bike allows me to easily reach different areas of Amsterdam. Animals have always been a big part of my life—I grew up surrounded by pets, from dogs and cats to birds and hamsters. I have extensive experience with large dogs, including raising my 50kg Bosnian Shepherd, where I learned the techniques to handle even strong dogs with behavioral challenges on a leash. I also participated in a professional dog training school, so if needed, I can help with basic training, behavioral support, or even teach your furry friend some fun tricks like high five, lying down, or staying in place. Additionally, I have volunteered in animal rescue, caring for over eight dogs during the years while they awaited their forever homes. I got my first dog named Coco when I was fourteen and was somewhat unprincipled and very spoiled. The second dog I adopted a year later. Because I have dogs I couldn't bear to see a puppy living a miserable life, so I bought this puppy from a neighbour who was selling dogs and named him DD. After that it was my family who adopted a stray dog in 2019 and named her Sunny.Sunny is really tame and has recently passed her therapy dog exam and is already able to read with the kids. In 2021, we adopted our first kitten in the family, named "Joey", and she has been living with dogs ever since. I'll throw a ball and play with them when I walk the dogs and pick up dog poop on walks.

One of my favorite experiences with pets was with a playful Bichon named Potato. We spent an afternoon at the park, where Potato’s excitement was huge. As soon as I tossed her favorite ducky, she darted across the grass, her tail wagging with pure joy. Afterward, we took a break under a shady tree. Potato, now tired but happy, curled up beside me, resting her head on my lap. I gently petted her, running my hands through her soft fur, while she looked up at me with trusting eyes. The bond we shared in that moment, simply playing and relaxing together, was truly heartwarming.

gemotiveerde dierenoppasser

Ik ben een ongelovelijke dierenvriend, ik heb dan ook zelf 4 konijnen waar ik met passie voor zorg. Ik lees mij nog elke dag in over wat het beste is voor de konijnen en wat ze graag naast hun voer willen hebben. Omdat er bij mij thuis allergieën zijn kan ik zelf helaas nooit een hond of kat houden, daarom vind ik oppassen zo leuk, omdat ik dan met dieren ben. Ik heb eerder opgepast op de hond van mijn oma, de hond en kat van mijn schoonmoeder en de konijnen en katten van mijn buren. Ik doe dit met liefde en zorg dat er ook tijd is om te knuffelen en/of spelen. Zelf pas ik de hele maand Juni op de hond van mijn oma, ik zit daar dan ook in huis. Ook heb ik ervaring met paarden, ik heb 4 jaar lang verzorgpaarden gehad waar ik af en toe op reedt. Ik vind het erg fijn om lange wandelingen te maken met de hond in het bos of op het strand. Ik beschik over een eigen auto dus kan hier makkelijk heen. Ik doe momenteel de studie fysiotherapie, en mijn eind doel is dierenfysiotherapie. Ik vind het dus erg interessant om te observeren hoe het dier loopt en hoe het dier zich gedraagt. Hiermee kan ik dus ook merken wanneer er iets mis is. Wat natuurlijk heel handig is als u weg bent, zo hoeft u u geen zorgen te maken, uw dier is in goede handen! Ik hoop dat ik u kan helpen met het oppassen op uw dieren!

Hello, I honestly have no experience raising a dog but I'd like to become a dog sitter because I'm considering to get a dog. I mostly work from home with flexible hours so I can walk your dog in the morning, during lunch or in the afternoon. I'm a runner so I can also take your dog to my 5km run if he/she is active enough. The area where I live is very green with lots of dogs which is perfect for socialization with other dogs and other dog owners, as well as outdoor activities. I prefer golden retriever or labradoodle or goldendoodle - those with calm, gentle energy but still a bit active outdoor.

Enthousiaste, energieke & betrouwbare oppas!

Over mij: Sinds ik op mijzelf woon pas ik regelmatig op honden (en soms katten): gewoon omdat ik het leuk vind en graag buiten ben! Zelf een huisdier nemen is geen mogelijkheid gezien mijn fulltime baan, dus dit is een fijne oplossing met alleen maar winnaars! Aanvullende info: Ik heb 3,5 jaar in een dierenasiel gewerkt en daardoor ervaring met kleine honden (0-10kg), maar ook met grote honden zoals Turkse Herders (45-55kg). Ik deins daarom echt niet terug door het uiterlijk van een hond en de vooroordelen die bestaan over een ras, maar ik vind het wel belangrijk dat de hond betrouwbaar en goed opgevoed is. Neem gerust contact op! Ik ben flexibel en denk graag mee. - Op vrijdagen alleen vanaf eind van de middag (tenzij feestdag). - In weekenden ook in omgeving Twente mogelijk.

Onze Bowie heeft echt een geweldige week met Anouk gehad! Onze dalmaat is namelijk best een eigenzinnig geval en houdt niet zo van verandering. Dat wij een weekje zonder haar op vakantie gaan, vindt ze al niet zo leuk en moet ze echt even uit haar comfortzone komen. Maar daarom was het des te fijner dat ze wel lekker in haar eigen omgeving kon blijven en Anouk zich een hele week over haar heeft ontfermd in ons huis. Het is vantevoren best spannend hoe dat zal uitpakken, maar Anouk is echt een zeer betrokken oppas met veel hondenkennis en -ervaring. Door haar rust en geduld, hebben wij ook echt kunnen genieten van onze vakantie. Ze stuurde ons elke dag even een korte update en het huis was helemaal netjes toen we weer thuis kwamen. Wij zijn superblij met Anouk en de volgende keer gaan we haar zeker weer vragen, ze echt een topper!
