I’ve always been an animal lover! Growing up near the Italian countryside, I spent my childhood surrounded by my grandparents’ cats and dogs, playing with them around the olive trees. Although I couldn’t have my own pet because of my family's allergies, I volunteered with a local rescue association to care for stray puppies until they found their forever homes. Over the past few years, I’ve had the joy of looking after several dogs. I have walked a young chocolate labrador, walked and cared for a golden retriever in his owner's home, and helped an elderly German shepherd with food and medication. I’ve also shared a home with two cats, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of pets. Now that I live in The Hague and have more free time while I wait to start a new job, I’d love to spend it caring for animals again. I’m responsible, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and happy.

Hi, I grew up in South Africa with dogs all my life and I really miss having dogs around to take care of and play with. At home we had Jack Russels and Beagles. During the week I work from home Mondays and Fridays, and on weekends we usually like to do things in the Hague like go on walks (if the weather permits) and have dinner with our friends. We will always take your dog with to enjoy being outside and play. Since we live in an apartment we prefer to take care of a smaller dog. I am also happy just looking after dogs for a day. I am a Venezuelan, 29 years old. I recently moved to a new apartment in The Hague, together with my boyfriend, Rupert (33 years old), and we are so excited because we are allowed pets at home for the first time since we moved from our home country! I grew up with dogs as part of my family and that's the kind of family I wish to have someday in the future. Given my current lifestyle (busy with my work, going frequently to the office), I'd like to wait a bit longer until I have enough time to dedicate to them. However, I miss spending time with dogs so much, that I've decided to open an account at petbnb, and give and receive love from dogs as much as possible for the time being. I learned how to take care of dogs when I was a little girl. Our family dog, Bicho, stayed with us until I was 12 years old. After that, I was the go-to person to babysit the two dogs of my grandma and thereafter, the puppy of my aunt (all of them schnauzers). And not so long ago, I volunteered at the 'Animal Rescue' organization of Madrid (I studied my bachelor over there), where I'd take care of rescued dogs, take them for walks, and incentivize people to adopt them. My boyfriend also has vast experience with dogs. He was lucky to raise a Weimaraner and have him as his companion for over 10 years, and he currently shares caring responsibilities of his sister's Poodle - they live in Hamburg and we babysit every now and then. When it comes to my availability, I am always available during weekends -24 hours a day. However, if the booking is done some days in advance, arranging having a dog during the week is also possible, as I have the flexibility of working from home, which adds some extra availability for weekdays too. I am looking forward to meeting your dogs and loving them forever.

Domenica was sooo lovely and communicative! We were running late to drop our dogs off before an appointment and she was very accommodating, and so sweet about the dogs. They seemed to have a lovely and safe time, and we hope we will be able to leave them with Domenica again x

Zorgzame en ervaren kattenoppas😺

Al sinds klein af ben ik dol op katten. Toen ik als student in een anti-kraak appartementje ging wonen en er een klein zwerfkatje gevonden werd, twijfelde ik geen moment en nam ik haar in huis. Hoewel ze niets van mensen moest werden wij onafscheidelijk. Helaas is Layla in juli 2023 overleden aan de gevolgen van een tumor. In oktober 2018 was ik op vakantie in Griekenland. Daar kwam een heel lief katertje op mijn pad, die ik adopteerde en mee naar Nederland nam. Zante is een grote knuffelkont en een echte allemansvriend. Layla en Zante zaten niet helemaal op één lijn qua speel- en kroelgedrag naar elkaar toe. In augustus 2020 adopteerde ik daarom nog een katertje, in de hoop dat het een leuk maatje voor Zante zou zijn. Het bleek een match made in heaven. Het oppassen doe ik naast m’n kantoorbaan en puur voor het plezier dat ik heb in het verzorgen van katten. De opbrengst van het oppassen doneer ik aan kattenopvangen en sterilisatieprojecten voor zwerfkatten. Zo help ik niet alleen de katten waarvoor ik oppas, maar draag ik ook bij aan een beter leven voor katten die nog geen thuis hebben. Inmiddels heb ik al veel ervaring opgedaan als kattenoppas en heb ik via Rover meerdere terugkerende baasjes mogen helpen. Ook heb ik ervaring met het geven van medicatie wanneer dat nodig is. Naast het oppassen zet ik mij al enkele jaren als vrijwilliger in voor zwerfkatten. Daardoor heb ik veel ervaring met katten van verschillende leeftijden en karakters. Of een kat nu heel sociaal is of juist wat meer tijd nodig heeft om vertrouwen te krijgen: ik vind het belangrijk dat iedere kat zich veilig en op zijn gemak voelt.

Hi pet parents, lovely to meet you! I'm Nina, 28 years old, and I grew up here in The Hague. About me I grew up with two dogs and three cats, and I've always loved taking care of them. For the last two years, while living in Amsterdam, I had two regular addresses that asked me to look after their dogs during workdays, weekends away and holidays. Since I've moved, they still bring their dogs to me when they go away for a longer holiday, but of course much less frequent now. Now that I'm all settled back in The Hague, I'd love to find a new address. In the past, I've worked as a nanny for five years, and I bring the same warmth and communication skills to pet sitting. I'm currently living on Javastraat with my boyfriend. He's 29 years old, really kind and loves dogs as well. He has a labradoodle back home with his parents. I'm working as a communication consultant for the government and often work from home. Jasper (the boyfriend) also has an office job, but he works at the actual office much more often. About the apartment The house is a calm place, as there are no other pets or children. Luckily, the Scheveningse Bosjes (meaning lots of fun and plenty of other dogs!) are just around the corner. If the schedule allows and they feel comfortable enough, I also love going for a walk on the beach. Important: the apartment is on the first floor. The staircase is very doable (it's not steep), but it's good to know. Practicalities - I'm flexible with my availability. - The response rate on my profile might be low because it was inactive. When I was living in Amsterdam, I found two addresses that regularly asked me to dog-sit for them. I've moved back to The Hague, and now that I'm all settled in, I'm looking forward to finding a new pet-sitting address. Warm welcome

We, Irina and Dmitrii, will be happy to host a dog and treat him/her with warmth and attention. We love dogs very much, but travel often and cannot afford to have our own pet at the moment. We live in the Bezuidenhout area, just a 5 min walk from Haagse Bos - this is the perfect place to walk with your special one. Besides, our apartment is on the ground floor, and we have a small garden with grass and trees, where a dog can spend time in good weather. We both work from home, so we’re willing to pay enough attention to the four-legged friend :)

Irina and Dmitrii have been excellent day cares for our Hector. He went to their place already twice. They took good care of Hector. Their house, with a closed garden, is a perfect location for a dog. Furthermore, Hector enjoyed spending time with them, playing with one of his favorite balls, walking in the Haagse Bos. Als echte dierenliefhebber vind ik het geweldig om op jouw hond of kat te passen! Zelf zou ik graag een hond willen, maar door mijn drukke schema is dat helaas niet mogelijk.
