I come from a family of animal lovers, and we have always kept both dogs and cats. Currently, back in my hometown, our home is happily shared with two Teddy dogs, one Border Collie, and seven cats—three of which I personally rescued as strays. Growing up surrounded by pets has given me a deep understanding of their behaviors and needs. My practical experience includes assisting in the delivery of two litters of puppies and one litter of kittens, which taught me to handle delicate situations with calmness and care. I also regularly participate in small animal rescue volunteering, further developing my skills in nurturing and rehabilitating animals in need. I am patient, attentive, and have some basic dog training experience. Currently, I am not employed elsewhere, so I have abundant free time to dedicate fully to caring for pets. I am flexible and can adapt to various schedules and routines. My house have a dog-friendly park right in front, a riverside walking path behind my home, and a big yard at home for pets to run around freely. Dogs can roam between the house and the yard—it’s a cozy, happy space for them!

Animals love me because I am one of them!

Growing up, there was not a single animal species I did not take care of. In my family house, we had chickens, rabbits, ducks, turtles, all types of birds and of course dogs and cats. I grew up in Cyprus, where is full of stray animals that help need. They somehow seemed like they knew I could understand whats wrong with them. I was pretty sure I could speak the language of these stray animals, because they always found me when they need help. I am a big nature lover, I am not afraid to make my hands dirty. There is basically nothing in the world that makes me nauseous and I am very cold-blooded person in emergencies. I know basic first aid both for human and animals thanks to my mom who was both a nurse and first-aid trainer. I have petsit before thousands of times for my neighbors and friends back in Cyprus. And I have a dog walker certification for dogs until 20 kilos from my country. My best friend in my hometown currently is my cat Chaos, who just turned 5 years old two days ago. Although I am currently studying Masters in Neuroscience in VU, I really want to do something about wildlife preservation in my future career. I adore and respect all the animals and creatures that shares the world with us. We owe them a lot and I just want to humbly do what I can do to contribute. My training philosophy is based on César Millán's (The Dog Whisperer's) approach to training, as well as my work with trainers for dog service animals. My current male cat, Chaos, is 15 years old. The high point of his day is his morning walk, followed by breakfast - to say he is food motivated is a an understatement. When I lived in Houston, I would take him for a walk in the neighborhood every day, and used to attract other cats on the walk. At times I had up to five cats going on walks with me!

I was very happy with the care Erik provided for our cat, Puck. When he first came to meet Puck, Erik brought catnip, which Puck clearly enjoyed, and spent a full hour playing with him. Puck was active and engaged the whole time, showing how comfortable and happy he was. The sitter also earned Puck’s trust by letting him curl up on their lap to purr, which speaks to the gentle and caring attention he gave. It was reassuring to know Puck was not only looked after but truly enjoyed his visits.

Niks fijners lekker samen zijn in de natuur

Mijn naam is Kim, ik woon in Zandvoort en ben ook veel te vinden in de duinen of op het strand. Al vanaf mijn geboorte woon in samen met katten (en vroeger ook knaagdieren). Mijn opa was hobbyfokker en zodoende ben ik opgegroeid met honden. Mijn liefde voor honden is in de loop der jaren alleen maar groter geworden.
