My experience of taking care of dogs start with my first pet which was a labrador dog, who we used to call bruno, and I took all the responsibility of taking care of, feeding it, taking it out for walks and playing with him. Bij mijn ouders thuis hebben we altijd dieren gehad waaronder een Bordeauxdog (Kita) en een Franse bulldog (Diesel, hij had tevens last van epilepsie). Meimei houdt ons goed op de hoogte door als we op vakantie gaan af en toe een bericht en foto’s te sturen hoe het met Dora gaat . Wij hebben ook een goed contact met Meimei. Ze is heel lief en begrijpt Dora heel goed. Ze zorgt goed voor haar en signaleert en geeft door als er haar iets opvalt. We bevelen haar zeker aan!!

Hi there! My name is Joppe, and I live on a boat in the city centre if Amsterdam together with my girlfriend. Kees is out permanent roommate, he’s a mini dachshund who loves to play in Vondelpark everyday and make new friends. About myself, I’m an analyst that often works from home and through social media and group chats I see a lot of people struggling to find a sitter for their pet. While working at home I usually walk Kees every 2-3 hours, while going to dog parks almost everyday for a least 30 min. I’ve taken care of a few dogs before, and when taking them anywhere I make sure to but a tracking device on them (better be safe than sorry!). If your dog needs to stay overnight, that won’t be an issue as there is plenty of space here on the boat. Regarding this, no person of dog had ever fallen in the water - but just to be sure we always put the dogs life jackets on. Regarding your dog, my only wish is that he/she is comfortable being picked-up and being friendly to other dogs. The rest I can manage! Looking forward meeting you and your dog!
