I'm the kind of person who pays special attention to the needs and habits of the animal I am caring for, and I am all about hugs and kisses and I treat them like my babies, as if they are part of my family! I always told myself, ''If I don't become a singer, I will work with animals''. :) I have two dogs in my hometown Montreal, in Canada, one small maltipoo and big aussiedoodle, and have had dogs all my life before them, so I have a lot of experience with dogs, big and small! I am more at ease in taking care of smaller to medium size dogs, but am still comfortable with big dogs. Important to mention that I have experience with dogs who are dependant or have anxiety as both my dogs have anxiety and are always looking for a cuddle or support. I know what makes them happy, as well as what is too much for them. I adapt very easily to each dog, depending on their needs and qualities. As a free-lancer/self-employed artist, my schedule is very flexible and varies a lot depending on the job contracts, offers, auditions I get. This is a good thing; it means I am free quite often, but it also means that my availability can change from time to time, randomly, as I am not always aware of when I will get an offer! Meimei houdt ons goed op de hoogte door als we op vakantie gaan af en toe een bericht en foto’s te sturen hoe het met Dora gaat . Wij hebben ook een goed contact met Meimei. Ze is heel lief en begrijpt Dora heel goed. Ze zorgt goed voor haar en signaleert en geeft door als er haar iets opvalt. We bevelen haar zeker aan!!

Over het algemeen lopen we 4x per dag (2x kort, 2x lang) met de hond, maar in overleg is er natuurlijk ook meer of minder mogelijk. In ons ruime appartement (incl balkon) kan de hond vrijuit rondlopen/spelen/slapen. Wij zijn ook bereid medicatie toe te dienen en de vacht te verzorgen (borstelen/wassen etc). Ik heb sinds jongs af aan een ongelooflijke passie voor dieren en vind het prachtig om met dieren te spelen, te knuffelen en trucjes te leren. Deze passie uit zich verder in het binge watchen van natuurdocumentaires, het groeten van elke hond / kat die ik buiten tegenkom & het bezoeken van elke dierentuin in elke stad die ik bezoek. Het lijkt mij enorm gezellig om op jouw trouwe viervoeter te passen. Andere hobby's van mij waar ik veel energie van krijg zijn racefietsen, fitnessen en vogelen. Verder is het goed om te weten dat mijn vriendin altijd een hond heeft gehad toen zij nog bij haar ouders woonde, ikzelf heb ook vaak op de hond(en) van mijn familie gepast. Ook heb ik in het verleden een parkiet, een konijn en gerbils gehad. Ik ben voor zowel lange als korte periodes beschikbaar als oppas. Hi there! My name is Joppe, and I live on a boat in the city centre if Amsterdam together with my girlfriend. Kees is out permanent roommate, he’s a mini dachshund who loves to play in Vondelpark everyday and make new friends. About myself, I’m an analyst that often works from home and through social media and group chats I see a lot of people struggling to find a sitter for their pet. While working at home I usually walk Kees every 2-3 hours, while going to dog parks almost everyday for a least 30 min. I’ve taken care of a few dogs before, and when taking them anywhere I make sure to but a tracking device on them (better be safe than sorry!). If your dog needs to stay overnight, that won’t be an issue as there is plenty of space here on the boat. Regarding this, no person of dog had ever fallen in the water - but just to be sure we always put the dogs life jackets on. Regarding your dog, my only wish is that he/she is comfortable being picked-up and being friendly to other dogs. The rest I can manage! Looking forward meeting you and your dog!
