Please read all the info below before making your booking! I have been around and taken care of dogs my entire life. We had two dogs when I was a child I was trusted taking care of and walk during my lunch breaks at school from a very young age. My family travelled a lot when I was young and wherever we went I would find packs of street dogs to play with, which now when I’m a parent sounds insane (and quite dangerous) but it very much shaped how I see and relate to dogs and taught me how to communicate, read body language and understand pack dynamic. I have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout my life, and have been watching and training dogs for friends and family over the years many times. Also very interested in dog psychology and behaviour in general, and their inner workings is a genuine interest for me. Dog sitting is my full time job, I’m very good at it and take it seriously. I usually spend most of my days outside with the dogs I have, it’s great for exercise and socialising and we all enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I also enjoy to bring them along for outings or other activities since I love the company. My kids are at school during the day so I have lots of time and I really enjoy walking and being outside so it’s absolutely not a chore. Different dogs have different needs of course and I do my best to accommodate that. I love biking with dogs since you can sort of “play run” together and it’s a great way to get a lot of exercise for high energy dogs, and even if a dog is not used to running next to a bike, most get the hang of it fast and I am of course very careful to make sure there’s no accidents. My house is also full of toys, activity puzzles and games, it’s important they get mental simulation as well physical. My kids are good and calm with animals, and love dogs so they are delighted about weekend stays but of course they don’t walk them and I generally don’t leave my kids alone with the dogs I host. Our cat Styx, a Maine Coon male, is raised around dogs and makes friends with most of them given a bit of time, even dogs that otherwise goes nuts when they see a cat outside! We live in a house with a lift so larger or older dogs doesn’t have to climb down stairs, the flat itself has three floors so easy and spacious with the cat living upstairs and visiting dogs downstairs. Some dogs I have regularly of course get upstairs privileges when we’re all comfortable together and maybe aren’t covered in mud! The size of the flat does also mean I can easily keep dogs and cats separated so there’s never been an issue in all the years I’ve been doing this. The downstairs floor is also large enough to keep dogs separated if necessary, I have lots of fences and baby gates I can set up. The terrace is great for fresh air and playtime. We also live very close to many green areas suitable for off leash walking, biking and swimming. I have experience with and really enjoy large dogs and don’t mind being out entire days with wolf/working breeds if they need it. My philosophy is that a dog that is provided a lot of exercise, play, boundaries, structure and a calm and assertive pack leader will be a happy and balanced one! Please note! -Do provide food, toys, chew bones, treats and toilet bags for your dogs visit. If requested I can provide this but will ask to be refunded for any additional expenses. I have lots of bowls, towels and beds etc so no need to bring that. -If your dog needs a lot of special attention, is not fully house trained or have a very labour intensive schedule you need to inform me of this in advance so we can discuss. Also if your dog can’t be together with other dogs or off leash I need to know before we finalise the booking. -I can’t accept dogs with severe behavioural problems or that barks a lot. If there are undisclosed issues like aggression, barking or destructive/unmanageable behaviour I reserve the right to terminate the booking and request you to find another arrangements for the rest of the stay, or I will ask an extra fee so be aware of this. Please don’t downplay issues since that will only cause trouble for everyone involved later on. -I will accept bookings for cats if they are spayed/neutered and very good with other cats, dogs and kids. Hello from a local dog lover and enthusiast! I have loved dogs for all of my life, and had my own (Captain, a rescued mutt) since I was 12 years old. Although I've only sporadically had a dog in my own vicinity since then, I spent a few months dog-sitting a doberman during a workaway two years ago, and spent this summer on a husky kennel in Tana, Norway caring for and doing the daily routines of 47 huskies (including 4 puppies and 11 yearlings). My experience with dogs I would consider wide-ranging, and I am so happy to hang out with dogs as it really brings me the greatest joy. I have a cosy and relatively large flat which I share with my roommate who is a horseback-rider and fellow animal lover and enthusiast. This means that your pooch will get a 2-for-1 deal and friend in us both (although the dog would be my responsibility and remain in my space mostly). However, as there are two of us, and I live in a building with many friends nearby, the dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I am a student with a schedule that is heavy on Mondays and Thursdays, with the other days all 'off' (and a 3 hour course on Wednesdays), meaning I have plenty of free time to watch after and hang out with a canine companion. Additionally, there is always someone nearby should there be an emergency that needs tending to, and my uni is a 6 minute walk from the flat, for extra insurance.

As with my own dog, I will make sure your dog is safe and happy with us for when you return to pick them up. As i do have a dog, I ask that we first meet so i can observe how the dogs get along first. It is very important to me that the dogs are comfortable together and enjoy themselves (both when playing and during rest). So, before any over night requests, let’s first start with a few hours at my place during the day. My home: I live in a doggy proofed apartment next to the Venserpolder metro and Duivendrecht train station with everything a dog might need or want including toys and snacks for days. While here: Nearby by, there are many green spaces (right next to my front door) and a dog walking path is located within a few mins walk away. The are also happens to be an off leash area for dogs to run around (if your dog can be let off leash and has a good recall). So, whether your dog loves to go out for a walk in the woods, run in open fields or sniffing grass, my dog and I are ready to join. For longer stays with me, I will also take the dogs to the beach (Bloomendal) or a bigger green area (Diemen Bos, Amsterdamse Bos, Gasperplas) where they can run freely once or twice a week. I take my dog out for walks every 4-6 hours (happy to adjust as needed for your dog). Text me if you have any questions for me or if you have any unique requirements your dog may need.

My dog Toni had a great day with Gautham and his dog Coco. Also de communication was very good. I'd be happy to leave Toni with them again sometime.

I am Italian, but I had lived in Costa Rica for many years. I am a trainer and Physiotherapist, but a pet lover too! Since I was little I had pets of all kind: dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles and i love to be surrounded by them. I can do long walks in the forest near my appartament or just laying in the sofa together and take a nap! My services: 1- Dog walks: my walks are around half hour or one hour, it depends on the owner and the dog. 2- Pet sitter at my home (sleep here or just pass the day with us). Usually I do 3 walks on a day: a long walk in the morning, another one in the afternoon and one just before bedtime. Also my daughter (13yo) love pets, so she's always playing with them. Doggies can walk around, there are not dangerous things around. I live in an appartment, so everything is closed and safe. They can sleep on the sofa, if the owner let them. But is also good bring his/her bed too. 3-Visit at home: are you not at home? I can feed your pet or take him/her out. I usually stay 1 hour at home if i just have to feed them, but if you need more time, let me know. I can also walk your dog. Your beloved pet will be very happy if you choose to let him/her with us. I always send a lot of pictures of the day, videos and if is necessary I can make a video call too. I will keep you continuously informed about your pet, so that you feel more comfortable and can know how the day is going. Your pet will be very fine here: 1- 3 times walk: morning, afternoon and night. If your dog need more or less walks, let me know. I have many green areas around the apartment, some parks and a huge forest. So there is a lot of places where we can walk/run. If your dog is not trained for came back when is unleash, don't worry, anyway we can take a nice walk. 2- Plenty time to be with them! Just leave home some days a few hours. But usually they are not be alone much cause there is almost always somebody at home. 3- I actually wanted to be a veterinarian but then I changed my plans. Despite that, my children's father is a veterinarian so I learned a lot from him, so i can put injections, give medicines or something like that (of course minors things). 4- The owner has to bring the pet's food. That's better for your pet, cause any change of alimentation may be bad for him/her. I will give the food at usually pet's schedule. 5- I can't accept dogs who are not trained to make pees or poop outside! A clean apartment is a better place for they and for us! 6- I can't accept dogs which can't let alone for some hours or are too noisy. That is not that much for me but for my neighbours because I live in an apartment. I speak Spanish, Italian, English and a bit of Dutch. If you want, we can take a bath to your doggo for a small extra fee (is for my 15 yo daughter 😊). My daughter also make cookies for dogs. I hope I can be with your pet soon!

Pamela en haar familie hebben ontzettend goed voor onze hond gezorgd. Hij is bijna een week bij hen geweest en voelde zich al snel helemaal op zijn gemak. De communicatie was duidelijk, prettig en regelmatig. Pamela was flexibel, rustig en zorgzaam, en stuurde leuke updates met foto’s. Dat gaf ons veel vertrouwen en rust terwijl we weg waren. Wij zouden Pamela zeker aanraden als oppas voor je hond!

Making your dog happy makes me happy - win / win!

Since leaving my parents place when I was 18, I have been craving to be able to take care of dogs. During my whole childhood I grew up around (big) dogs at my grandparent's house as well as at my home. My grandpa taught me the do's and don'ts and how to train them and I would regularly take care of their dogs as well as the dogs of family friends. From age 10 to 18 we also had a male German Sheppard at home who I always felt was my "bear" brother. I'm definitely the kind of guy who will stop in the middle of the street to chat with someone about their dog and ask if I can pet him/her. I'm not afraid of any type of dog and feel confident being able to impose myself when needed while remaining calm and respectful. I'm a sporty guy who goes outside a lot and likes to go for long walks in nature or a run - also with my friends or my girlfriend. I could play with dogs for hours. I currently live on the top floor of a spacious flat with rooftop in Oud West near most of the big parks including Westerpark, Rembrandtpark, Erasmuspark and Vondelpark. Regarding the prices and hours, I'm quite flexible and happy to discuss them with you as for me this is really more of a pleasure than a side job. I currently work at New Balance and am flexible to work from home whenever I want and to structure my days to my needs. I speak fluent English, German, French, some decent level of Spanish and after living in the Netherlands for over 10 years also quite some Dutch. Feel free to reach out to ask me any questions!

Hondenliefhebber zoekt oppashondje!
