Wij zijn zorgzaam en houden van hondenknuffels!

Wij zijn met z'n drieën en hebben al een leuke 3 jarige labradoodle die Olly heet! We zouden wel meer hondjes willen alleen is oppas zoeken voor één hond al een hele opgave. Om zo nu en dan een extra hondje in huis te hebben lijkt ons daarom perfect! We gaan in het weekend vaak naar het bos of naar het strand. En we zijn met 3, dus er is altijd wel iemand thuis. Dogs are my favourite people

I grew up in a house with 3 dogs, knowing that the dog children came before the human children, so I always treat the dogs I look after much the same way. They get a little spoiled, but I also make sure that they know the boundaries and to stick to any specific training or routines their owners normally have. I commonly look after quite a needy dog, so am also used to having a dog around as my shadow if you have a pooch who has some separation anxiety issues. I think its important to let the dog get to know you first, and make sure they feel comfortable so if that means a couple of home visits before they come to stay that is fine for me. There is a small dog park right by my house, and I live near a number of parks so there is always lots of opportunity for the dogs to run around and play, or be walked in grassy areas. At the moment I have quite flexible availability, and am always open to discussing the options to work out what is best for you and your doggo. I don't have a specific preference for the type of dogs I take care of, I love them all.

Since leaving my parents place when I was 18, I have been craving to be able to take care of dogs. During my whole childhood I grew up around (big) dogs at my grandparent's house as well as at my home. My grandpa taught me the do's and don'ts and how to train them and I would regularly take care of their dogs as well as the dogs of family friends. From age 10 to 18 we also had a male German Sheppard at home who I always felt was my "bear" brother. I'm definitely the kind of guy who will stop in the middle of the street to chat with someone about their dog and ask if I can pet him/her. I'm not afraid of any type of dog and feel confident being able to impose myself when needed while remaining calm and respectful. I'm a sporty guy who goes outside a lot and likes to go for long walks in nature or a run - also with my friends or my girlfriend. I could play with dogs for hours. I currently live on the top floor of a spacious flat with rooftop in Oud West near most of the big parks including Westerpark, Rembrandtpark, Erasmuspark and Vondelpark. Regarding the prices and hours, I'm quite flexible and happy to discuss them with you as for me this is really more of a pleasure than a side job. I currently work at New Balance and am flexible to work from home whenever I want and to structure my days to my needs. Ik ben mijn hele leven al gek op honden en sinds vijf jaar is mijn labradoodle Dolly een groot onderdeel van mijn leven. Ze is ontzettend sociaal en vindt het altijd gezellig om andere honden om zich heen te hebben. Omdat ik veel thuis ben, lijkt het me ontzettend leuk om samen met Dolly op andere honden te passen. We wonen in een gezellig huisje met een tuintje in het centrum van Monnickendam, vlak bij het Hemmeland. Een goeie plek om lekker naar buiten te gaan en lange wandelingen te maken. Dolly en ik lopen minimaal drie keer per dag een groot rondje. Buiten is ze lekker speels en enthousiast, terwijl ze binnenshuis juist rustig en relaxed is. Ze kan goed met andere honden overweg en vindt het vooral leuk om samen te spelen en op pad te gaan. Ik vind het belangrijk dat een hond zich bij ons net zo comfortabel voelt als thuis. Daarom neem ik graag de tijd om hem of haar aandacht te geven, lekker te wandelen en natuurlijk ook gewoon gezellig samen te zijn.

Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en ben echt een enorme hondenliefhebber. Hi! I’m a second-year political science student with a big love for animals and lots of experience in caring for them. While my own two dogs—a calm and sweet 9-year-old brown Labrador and a velcro-dog 2-year-old Chihuahua—are currently back home in France with my family, I’ve been surrounded by pets most of my life. I also spent six years abroad when I was younger, where I had eight rabbits, and I’ve looked after cats and dogs of all kinds, including terriers and a Golden Retriever. I’m used to animals with different personalities, and I especially love spending time with affectionate, velcro-type dogs who like to stick close and get plenty of attention. I’m also happy to play, cuddle, or just be a calming presence for older pets. We live just a two-minute walk from Oosterpark, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime if your dog needs a lot of outside time. There’s almost always someone home, so your pet will rarely be alone and I can guarantee will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I can also help with oral medication if your dog needs it mixed into food, as I've done this with my Labrador. One thing to note however, our apartment is on the second floor with typical Amsterdam stairs. Most dogs manage just fine, but if your animal has mobility issues, it’s something to consider. I’m available any time and happy to help, whether it’s for a weekend, a longer stay, or a last-minute booking. Your pet will be cared for in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment where we'll make sure they'll feel right at home!
