Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. I’ve completed training focused on fearful and reactive dogs, as well as an 8-week course tailored to an individual dog’s needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. A few things to know: ✅ I can administer oral medication. ✅ I'm experienced with puppies and senior dogs. ✅ I only board dogs that get along well with cats, so we can make sure our princess Zelda stays safe. 🐱❤️ ✅ Since we live in a small apartment, I only accept one small-medium sized dog, or up to two small dogs from the same household, so everyone has enough space to relax and feel comfortable. ✅ Meet & greets are always welcome before the stay. Bruna is an amazing petsitter! She was very good with Nina, has a lot of experience with dogs and is also very communicative and proactive. She took Nina for walks, updated us with pictures and videos and we could tell Nina had the best time :) Definitely recommend!

[ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). Last but not least, staan we er allebei voor open om natuurlijk even (digitaal of thuis) kennis te maken. We snappen dat het best spannend kan zijn. We have been living together in Amsterdam since 2023, after Braden (British/South African) moved to the Netherlands. We've both always had different types of dogs in our lives and miss it greatly now that we don't (yet) have one of our own. That's why we're really happy to be able to help others by offering dog-sitting services, while surrounding ourselves by dogs. We live just 5 minutes away from both Rembrandtpark and Erasmuspark (which even has a special area for dogs!), making it the perfect environment for outings. We both work mostly from home and are very flexible, meaning we can give a lot of attention to any dogs we’re looking after or easily drop by for a walk. We don’t have a preference for specific days or number of days, as long as we have enough time to plan accordingly. A few years ago, Ashley raised a litter with her own Shih Tzu and Chihuahua, so she has experience with both raising very young puppies and caring for senior dogs. Of course, every dog is different, but we are very aware of the unique needs of different breeds and ages. easy going dog sitting in Amsterdam west

My boyfriend Tim and I love dogs. I grew up in a vet family with loads of pets and all sorts of dogs around. Since our Cypriot dog passed away last year we have been dog sitting various neighborhood furry friends. We work from home most of the time, which gives us flexibility to do frequent walks and little adventures. We live right next to Erasmus and Rembrandt park. If time permits and if your dog is up for it, we love going to the forest or the beach. The appartment isn’t huge but well catered for a dog, and we love playing and training with dogs as well. The house is only accessible by stairs.

Tesse and Tim alternated the walks with - and care for - Felan. He loved them equally. On the pictures sent by Tesse an Tim is clearly visible that Felan had a great time when they sat him. Communication went smoothly, all in all I can only hope that we can prolongue this petsitting arrangement in the future.

I am so happy with the care Billie received! He was clearly very happy staying with Alejandro and his partner. Friendly Dog/Cat sitter in Amsterdam

I had 3 years of experience taking care of my dog and cat when I lived at my parents’ place, before that I had experience pet sitting my grandparents’ dog. Now I also have experience pet sitting dogs at my current place for short term (2-3 days) and a bit longer period (3 weeks), and it has been working quite well. When I am spending time with dogs, usually I will take them to parks or somewhere peaceful and full of nature. I will play balls (or their favorite toys) with them, and let them walk/run as much as they want. I always bring a water bottle, wet cleaning paper, and a trash bag with me, so when dogs are thirsty, I can give them water, or when they get dirty, I can clean them with the wet paper, and after they poop, I will pick it up and put it in the trash bag. It’s important to make our little friends feel happy, relaxed, and content, while keeping the environment clean. With cats I am quite experienced, because I spent almost everyday with my cat during Covid. We shared the bed together every night, and I love giving him massages and petting his little belly. I am quite sensitive to cats’ abnormal behaviors, so if anything goes wrong I can notice very fast. I find cats very lovable and healing, and luckily cats usually find me trustworthy. My room is 27 square meters, and I have a big living room, so there will be enough space for cats/dogs. Besides, there is a beautiful park near my place. If you need someone to take care of your pets, I highly recommend myself :)

Flexibele betrouwbare hondenoppas

Ik ben opgevoed met een labrador, cane corso en een rotweiler. Het is geweldig om honden om je heen te hebben! Momenteel heb ik geen honden meer en daarom heb ik mij aangemeld op petbnb, het is fantastisch om af en toe een hondje om je heen te hebben om voor te zorgen. Kleine honden, grote honden, ik vind ze allemaal fantastisch. Mijn favoriet is een teckel! Graag ga ik naar het park met de hond, ik hou erg van wandelen. Ik vind het heerlijk om er op uit te trekken met een hond. Bijna mijn hele leven heb ik honden om mij heen gehad, en ik ben daarom zeer ervaren met honden.

Na opgegroeid te zijn met katten begon ik op mijn 13e al mijn eerste honden uitlaatservice voor familie en kennissen. Zo was ik twee jaar lang de vaste oppas voor Beer (kruising). Inmiddels heb ik ruime ervaring met verschillende (kleine en middelgrote) rassen en heb ik een aantal terugkerende oppashondjes. Ik woon in een appartementje aan de rand van het centrum van de stad en kijk tijdens het oppassen altijd uit naar de spelen, knuffelen en de wandelingen naar bijvoorbeeld Bilderdijkpark of Geuzekade. Indien de gasthond houdt van spelen met andere honden heb ik voldoende vrienden met honden die graag een playdate inplannen. Hierbij laten we al-tijd(!) de honden eerst op een veilige manier kennismaken. Ik ben een betrouwbare oppas die haar thuiswerk dagen en vrije tijd gemakkelijk kan aanpassen naar de routine van een gasthond. Verwacht regelmatig updates (met foto’s) gedurende het verblijf van jouw hondje. Note: In verband met mijn relatief kleine appartement op 1-hoog pas ik enkel op kleine en middelgrote rassen die zindelijk zijn.

This is my second time using Danielle, and again she is the BEST dog sitter there is. She has a stash of dog toys and treats at her house that she greets your pet with to make them feel comfortable immediately. She consistently sends pictures/updates of your pup- which is something I love. I honestly think my dog may *almost* prefer her over me.

Grew Up with Dogs, Happy to Care for Yours

I’m 25 and grew up with dogs my whole life. In my photo album, you’ll spot a little version of me with Bella, my first dog. She was a rescue, sweet, nervous, and the ultimate cuddle buddy. Not much of a fetch player though. Losing her was my first real heartbreak. Later came Otto, the fluffy white guy in the other photos. He’s my soulmate in dog form. We did everything together. Cooking, talking, lounging around. He would follow me from room to room like a shadow with a tail. Since moving abroad, I miss him more than anything. Right now I’m not in a place to have a dog of my own, but I really miss the company. I’ve looked after friends’ dogs here and there and thought, why not do it more often. I live with my boyfriend, who also loves dogs and works hybrid, mostly from home. Together, we share the care of any dogs I dog sit, making sure they receive plenty of attention and companionship. If one of us is away, the other is always there, so the dog is never left alone, and if they are, it is only for a very short time. His picture can be seen in the library with the other photos. Paula was available to dogsit Enzo in very short notice, and accomodated him amazingly. Not only was it very easy to communicate beforehand, on the day itself I received pictures and regular updates, he had nice long walks and loads of cuddles. When he came home, he was super happy and nice and tired of such a lovely day. Enzo will definitely be coming back, if they"ll have them. Thank you so much for the great care.

I’m also happy to play, cuddle, or just be a calming presence for older pets. We live just a two-minute walk from Oosterpark, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime if your dog needs a lot of outside time. There’s almost always someone home, so your pet will rarely be alone and I can guarantee will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I can also help with oral medication if your dog needs it mixed into food, as I've done this with my Labrador. One thing to note however, our apartment is on the second floor with typical Amsterdam stairs. Most dogs manage just fine, but if your animal has mobility issues, it’s something to consider. I’m available any time and happy to help, whether it’s for a weekend, a longer stay, or a last-minute booking. Your pet will be cared for in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment where we'll make sure they'll feel right at home!

Passion for animals

I grew up with two beautiful Hungarian vizslas and have been a dog dog lover from childhood. I have experience with "difficult" dogs as well as we had several rescue dogs in my family (reactivity). I am also lucky to have had wonderful experiences with all my four legged clients durint my years as a pet sitter. Dogs are my favourite people

I grew up in a house with 3 dogs, knowing that the dog children came before the human children, so I always treat the dogs I look after much the same way. They get a little spoiled, but I also make sure that they know the boundaries and to stick to any specific training or routines their owners normally have. I commonly look after quite a needy dog, so am also used to having a dog around as my shadow if you have a pooch who has some separation anxiety issues. I think its important to let the dog get to know you first, and make sure they feel comfortable so if that means a couple of home visits before they come to stay that is fine for me. There is a small dog park right by my house, and I live near a number of parks so there is always lots of opportunity for the dogs to run around and play, or be walked in grassy areas. At the moment I have quite flexible availability, and am always open to discussing the options to work out what is best for you and your doggo. I don't have a specific preference for the type of dogs I take care of, I love them all.
