I currently work from home with my little dog George and I would love to take care of another dog during the day or for an over night stay(s) to help out other dog parents when they may need a good home for their four-pawed friend. I used to have 2 larger dogs and am now living with little George in Amsterdam. George is a 9kg Kooiker Mix Rescue from Spain (5 years old & castrated) and very good and playful especially with small and midsize dogs. Hi, ik ben Aileen! Ik werk als freelance fotograaf, waardoor ik doordeweeks vaak flexibel ben en veel vanuit huis werk. Ik woon samen met mijn vriend, die ook zzp'er is. Daardoor is er bijna altijd wel iemand thuis. Daarom lijkt het ons leuk om af en toe op honden te passen via Petbnb. Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en heb eigenlijk altijd honden om me heen gehad. Vroeger hadden wij thuis een Briard en tegenwoordig hebben mijn ouders een Labradoodle, Cavapoo en een Roemeense straathond. Daarnaast heb ik de afgelopen jaren regelmatig op hun honden gepast. Mijn vriend en ik hebben zelf ook een hond: Moos, een jonge Border Collie x Samojeed kruising. Hij is sociaal, speels en kan goed overweg met andere honden. Daarom vinden we het belangrijk dat een eventuele logeerhond ook vriendelijk is naar andere honden. We wonen in de Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam, in een ruim appartement met twee balkons. Op loopafstand liggen verschillende parken en groenstroken waar we dagelijks wandelen. Honden die bij ons logeren worden echt onderdeel van ons dagelijks leven: we maken fijne wandelingen, zorgen voor voldoende rust en natuurlijk ook voor de nodige aandacht en knuffels. Omdat we maar af en toe oppassen, nemen we alleen honden aan waarvan we denken dat ze goed bij ons en bij Moos passen. Daarom vinden we het fijn om vooraf eerst even kennis te maken. Stuur gerust een berichtje als je denkt dat jouw hond zich bij ons thuis zou voelen 🐶

Onze labradoodle Kiwi heeft 3 weekjes bij Aileen en haar vriend mogen logeren. Ging super! Veel updates en foto’s gekregen en onze lieve kiwi is erg goed verzorgd :grin: heel blij mee!

She doesn't have enough experience with dogs and has very questionable decisions. She gave too much treat to our dog which made her vomit. She didn't inform us about it, told us everything is good. After taking Gigi back, we noticed that Gigi's bed is covered with vomit and there was vomit stains on all her body. Apparently she let her sleep in vomit and didn't clean the bed and Gigi. Another unusual thing was that she decided not to take off her leash because she didn't want to "hurt her". So she thought that leaving her on the leash for 6 days is a good idea. She took it off only after we insisted. All in all, I don't think she knows how to take care of dogs.

We live just a two-minute walk from Oosterpark, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime if your dog needs a lot of outside time. There’s almost always someone home, so your pet will rarely be alone and I can guarantee will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I can also help with oral medication if your dog needs it mixed into food, as I've done this with my Labrador. One thing to note however, our apartment is on the second floor with typical Amsterdam stairs. Most dogs manage just fine, but if your animal has mobility issues, it’s something to consider. I’m available any time and happy to help, whether it’s for a weekend, a longer stay, or a last-minute booking. Your pet will be cared for in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment where we'll make sure they'll feel right at home!

I go on walks everyday and would love a companion

The dopamine I get from seeing a dog in his happy element brings me immense joy. Taking them on long walks while playing games with them makes the happy moments in our days.
