Toen ik jonger was hebben we altijd huisdieren en katten gehad, en sinds ik op mezelf woon heb ik veel foster en oppas hondjes gehad. Hello! Since birth I have been around dogs, starting with a Maltese terrier for 8 years. After that, we had a Bernese mountain dog for 10 years. Ik ben als student nog heel flexibel in mijn beschikbaarheid en zeer zorgvuldig in mijn planning zodat ik genoeg tijd kan maken voor jouw maatje :) Ik heb vroeger met mijn ouders een oude belgische herder uit het asiel in huis genomen om hem een leukere plek te geven tot zijn overlijden. Ik werkte destijds ook als vrijwilliger in het asiel bij de honden. Mijn opa had ook altijd een hond en ik vind het erg leuk om met honden te werken en hun persoonlijkheid beter te leren kunnen. Ik woon in Amsterdam Oost vlakbij park Frankendael op de begane grond, dus ook honden die moeite hebben met trappen zouden hier langs kunnen komen.

Hierbij kijk ik naar het karakter, het tempo en de behoefte van jouw hond op dat moment, maar stem ik ook graag af hoe jullie wandelingen er normaal uitzien. . Ik werk op een positieve, beloningsgerichte en volledig force-free manier (R+). Voor mij draait het om zachte begeleiding. Deze manier van wandelen is ook heel geschikt voor honden die wat extra ondersteuning kunnen gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld omdat ze ouder zijn, lichamelijke ongemakken hebben of extra begeleiding op gedragsmatig gebied nodig hebben. Zo wandel ik momenteel ook met een aantal reactieve honden. Juist zij zijn ook welkom! Ik zorg voor een ontspannen, voldane hond die na afloop met een tevreden snoet weer thuiskomt. We highly recommend!!! Carmen and Daniel took care of Bento (our beloved 4 legged son :feet::dog2:) for almost a month and it went super smoothly! they kept us updated, sending photos and videos everyday. [ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). Last but not least, staan we er allebei voor open om natuurlijk even (digitaal of thuis) kennis te maken. We snappen dat het best spannend kan zijn. Your Dog's Full-Time Fun Manager!

Animals have always been part of who I am. I wanted to be a vet from the time I was little, and my life has been full of dogs and cats ever since. It started when I was 8. I was the kid in the neighborhood who'd happily walk your dog or look after your cat, and I was always hanging around the local vet clinics asking if I could help. My first volunteer job was with an organization that cared for stray animals, where I helped get them ready for their vet visits. At 10, I started volunteering at a shelter attached to a veterinary university. Every day after school, I walked my two favorites, Guinness and Hennessy. I also played with them, fed them, cleaned their enclosures, and started learning about training. As a teenager, I started my own dog-walking business, and it took off. I looked after 7 to 10 dogs every day, from clever Shiba Inus to gentle Saint Bernards. I did long walks, washed muddy paws, handled feeding, and kept pets company when their owners worked long hours. I felt like part of each family, and I still love remembering the puppies I watched grow into big, beautiful dogs. At boarding school, I started an Animal Volunteering Club so my friends and I could keep visiting shelters. More recently, I lived on a horse farm in the US and cared for five farm dogs, which taught me a lot about their strength and stamina. I've also had a dog of my own, so I know both the love and the responsibility that come with it. My Availability I'm a student at Utrecht University, so my schedule changes by semester, but I'm flexible and happy to work around you. I'm an early riser and can do walks from 6:00 AM. Most weekdays I'm free after 5:00 PM, and I can often fit in afternoon visits if we arrange it ahead of time.
