Hi dear friends, My name is Görkem. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had animals in my life. I truly love them, and spending time with them brings me so much joy — they add real meaning to my life. Over the years, I’ve had many pets, including cats, birds, and fish. I’ve also taken care of many friends’ dogs. I spent a long time volunteering at an animal shelter, where I walked lots of dogs of different breeds. I even followed a course at an animal hospital to learn more about working with dogs. I don’t have official first-aid training for animals, but I do have hands-on experience. A friend of mine had a diabetic cat that needed daily injections. While he was on holiday, I took care of his cat and gave the injections myself. So I’m comfortable and experienced with giving shots. Hi! I’m Hongfei, a gentle and caring animal lover based in Amstelveen. I’m currently doing a research master’s at UvA, and this is my fourth year living in the Netherlands. Hongfei was really great! My dog is very anxious so I was very afraid of a new person coming in and taking him out while I was away on vacation. But Hongfei managed to get him to like her and together they enjoyed many walks. He looked extremely happy in all videos and photos :)

I am so happy with the care Billie received! He was clearly very happy staying with Alejandro and his partner. They took such good personal care of him and were flexible and incredibly sweet with all of Billie’s needs — including his zoomies. Ik hou van honden en help graag op de jouwe passen. Vrienden weten mij altijd te vinden om op hun honden te passen. Ik werk regelmatig thuis en heb altijd genoeg tijd om te wandelen en te spelen. Ik woon in een ruim appartement met balkon dichtbij verschillende parken dus er is genoeg gras en ruimte in de buurt. Zelf heb ik geen hond dus alle aandacht voor de oppashond. Wij zijn Guusje & Sietse, een avontuurlijk en sportief stel en we houden ervan om veel buiten te zijn. Omdat we zelf enkel een (ruim) balkon hebben, vinden we ons huis niet geschikt voor het hebben van een permanent huisdier maar we zouden het leuk vinden om mensen in de buurt te helpen met het opvangen van hun huisdieren wanneer nodig! We houden van lange wandelingen door Flevopark of vliegerbos, dagjes uitwaaien aan het strand (als het kan) en vinden het belangrijk dat een kat/hond de aandacht krijgt die ze nodig hebben. We zijn allebei opgegroeid met katten en honden, dus we hebben veel ervaring. Het liefst passen we op middelgrote honden die makkelijk in de omgang zijn en het fijn vinden om bij mensen in de buurt te zijn. Door haar werk als freelancer werkt Guusje veel vanuit huis. Daarom is ze flexibel en kan ze overdag tijd maken voor langere wandelingen!

We hadden een gezellige kennismaking bij Guusje en Sietse, dat gaf al veel vertrouwen vooraf. Curly heeft 2 nachtjes bij ze gelogeerd, we kregen een paar leuke foto's waarop hij er erg relaxt en tevreden uitzag. Fijn oppas-adresje, wij doen zeker weer een nieuwe aanvraag!

Although i don't have experience in petsitting, I have had a few of dogs and cats throughout my childhood. We had a boerboel, Rhodesian ridgeback, Jackrussel, Pomeranian and one cat, I had a tendency surprise my parents with animals they didnt know would live with us. Animals are part of my personality at this point, I am often heard saying ''auuuuuw" when i see a dog or cat on the sidewalk. I used to take care of many dogs in my home country. I love being around dogs and making them feel safe and happy🐕🐩🦮🐕‍🦺 I also love spending time with cats. In my home country, I had a Shiba Inu roommate and a cat roommate (the one in my profile picture). They both trusted me a lot and loved being around me. Last year, I took care of a giant Husky named Demon in the USA. I walked him every day, spent lots of time playing with him, and made sure he felt happy and comfortable. I still miss him very much!
