Ik ben mijn hele leven al gek op honden en sinds vijf jaar is mijn labradoodle Dolly een groot onderdeel van mijn leven. Ze is ontzettend sociaal en vindt het altijd gezellig om andere honden om zich heen te hebben. Omdat ik veel thuis ben, lijkt het me ontzettend leuk om samen met Dolly op andere honden te passen. We wonen in een gezellig huisje met een tuintje in het centrum van Monnickendam, vlak bij het Hemmeland. Een goeie plek om lekker naar buiten te gaan en lange wandelingen te maken. Dolly en ik lopen minimaal drie keer per dag een groot rondje. Buiten is ze lekker speels en enthousiast, terwijl ze binnenshuis juist rustig en relaxed is. Ze kan goed met andere honden overweg en vindt het vooral leuk om samen te spelen en op pad te gaan. Ik vind het belangrijk dat een hond zich bij ons net zo comfortabel voelt als thuis. Daarom neem ik graag de tijd om hem of haar aandacht te geven, lekker te wandelen en natuurlijk ook gewoon gezellig samen te zijn.

Everything went very well and I would totally reach out again if I need a place for Twiggy to stay 😊

Vanaf jongs af aan altijd al in vriendenboekjes geschreven dat ik ‘iets met dieren’ wilde doen later. Ook elke verjaardag en Sinterklaas gesmeekt om een hond. Iris looked after our two dogs, Maggie and Britian, while we were away on holiday, and she was absolutely wonderful. One of our dogs is unwell and required special care and close, watchful attention, and Iris handled this with incredible care, calmness, and responsibility. Both dogs clearly adored her — they were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. She walked them twice a day, kept us updated with regular messages and photos, and it was incredibly reassuring to see how attentive and thoughtful she was throughout our time away. On top of that, we came home to a clean and well-looked-after house. Iris is caring, reliable, and genuinely kind, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs and home were in such good hands. Ruby came by for an introduction a week ago and stayed in our house this weekend to take care of the cats and dog, she did a wonderful job, even though the dog is not easy, she is a puller and loves to chase birds, but Ruby managed really well! Shelter Dogs | Animal Behaviour Student

Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. Doordat we al jaren samen zijn, hebben we ook veel voor elkaars huisdieren gezorgd. Daarnaast hebben we regelmatig opgepast op de huisdieren van familie en collega's. Dat beviel ons zo goed dat we besloten hebben om ons ook via Petbnb aan te melden. Bij ons kun je terecht voor zowel dagopvang als meerdaagse opvang. Of je nu een dag weg bent of meerdere nachten of weken op vakantie gaat, jouw huisdier is van harte welkom om bij ons te komen logeren. We begrijpen dat ieder dier een eigen karakter, routine en behoeften heeft. Daarom leren we jouw huisdier graag eerst kennen en volgen we de verzorging zoals jouw dier die gewend is. Ook het toedienen van medicatie is voor ons geen probleem. Met honden maken we altijd wandelingen van minimaal 30 minuten, waarbij we rekening houden met de leeftijd en energie van jouw hond. Kirsten werkt in een ziekenhuis vlak bij huis en is na haar dienst snel weer thuis. Bram werkt meestal vier dagen per week vanuit huis en is op de andere dagen vaak al vroeg in de middag thuis. Hierdoor is er veel gezelschap en hoeft jouw huisdier zelden lang alleen te zijn. Wij behandelen ieder huisdier alsof het ons eigen dier is. Tijdens het verblijf sturen we graag foto's en updates, zodat je met een gerust hart kunt genieten van je tijd weg. We kijken ernaar uit om jou en je huisdier te ontmoeten!

Alleen maar lovende woorden voor Kirsten en Bram. Mijn vriend en ik gingen 10 dagen op vakantie en wij hebben Mochi met een goed gevoel achtergelaten. Ze komen professioneel over en ik merkte dat ze allebei ervaring en verstand hebben van dieren. Ik heb dagelijks updates gekregen over hoe het met hem ging. Het contact verliep soepel. Ik zou hen voor 100% aanraden als je een goed (logeer)adresje zoekt voor je hond of kat!
