Iggy is one happy camper. Curious, brave and never afraid (except of cats 🐈). Follows commands when there’s food in your hand and shuts off his ears when he sees his paw friends. He is house trained, doesn’t bite and gets excited and playful around kids and toddlers. 🐕‍🦺Walking routines: Iggy walks 3 times per day. Morning: from 7:30 Lunch walk (optional): from 12:00 - 12:15/12:30 Afternoon walk: During hot weather (25+ degrees) : from 18:30 During normal weather: from 16:00 Evening walk: 19:00 onwards 🕖 Duration: 1 hour morning walk. Afternoon walk 45 mins maximum. Also, there should be a break between play with dogs. 🍗 Eating routines: Iggy eats 2 times per day. Dosage will be shared with you as he is on a diet now and things are changing Morning: after his walk Dinner: after his afternoon walk In between, usually a bone or some other tasty chewable stuff. During his stay with you, you will be provided with his favorite snacks. 🦷 Dental sticks 1 per day given in the morning 💤 Sleeping routines After his morning walk, he is sound asleep. After his afternoon walk he might sleep for an hour or decide to play with his toys or tug war with you. 🚨 Commands: - Zit - Iggy kom - Push tea (said fast; pushti) - release - Goed zo - made a good choice / cue word - Down - lies down - Hi - gives paw - Up - up on four legs after a sit command - niet doen - don’t do it - yep - only exclusively used if he turns his head away from a dog he doesn’t like 🤪 Quirks and general notes - Iggy wears harness. As a beagle who tracks smells he pulls so collar will hurt him. - We use Tractive GPS device, so access to tracking will be provided. - Recall is not good right now so always on leash. - Chases birds and rabbits - If he somehow gets to a chicken bone there is almost no way getting it out of his mouth. Better to wait for him to eat it. - We will also provide his favorite toys - Loves playing with sticks outside - doesn’t bring them back though Phase 🌓 Sometimes he can get overwhelmed if there are too many dogs, so he might not listen and he barks. Rerouting and taking another calmer direction usually helps.
