The booking total includes paid bookings, as well as completed and reviewed stays or visits. It doesn’t mean every stay or visit has already taken place. Sitter counts and city rankings are based on the breeds sitters list on their profiles, rather than their booking history. This experience is self-reported; check availability for your dates.

For a Cavalier, companionship and daily care belong in the same plan. Tell your sitter when your dog usually walks, rests and enjoys company. Be equally clear about health requirements: being small does not automatically make a dog low-maintenance.
Did you know?
Blenheim is the name for the white coat with chestnut markings, one of the Cavalier’s four recognised colour combinations. It is a useful description of appearance, but your dog’s own needs matter much more when choosing a sitter.
Plan company as well as walks
The LICG describes Cavaliers as dogs that enjoy being with their people. Explain how your dog has learnt to be alone and what should happen when the sitter needs to go out. Bring familiar bedding and demonstrate the settling routine. Agree an arrangement based on your dog’s experience rather than a breed-wide allowance for hours alone.
Show the grooming routine
Check daily for tangles, especially around the ears, chest, armpits and tail. Demonstrate a short grooming session and pack the usual tools. Explain how your dog shows discomfort and when the sitter should stop and contact you. For a longer stay, make a specific grooming arrangement rather than simply packing a brush.
Make health instructions easy to follow
Heart valve disease and CM/SM are among the breed’s recognised health concerns; that does not mean every Cavalier is affected. If your dog has a diagnosis, write down the existing veterinary plan, including medication, contact details and changes to report. New symptoms need veterinary assessment, not a sitter’s attempt at diagnosis.
Your Petbnb trial: a walk, a brush and a rest
Start with a short, familiar walk. Afterwards, demonstrate coat and ear checks and show where your dog likes to settle. Ask the sitter to talk you through the main arrangements in their own words. You will quickly see whether companionship, grooming and any medication fit the care they can offer.
Feeding during a stay
Measure normal portions and agree which treats are suitable. Keep prescribed food unchanged and ask the sitter to report a reduced appetite.
