Work from home dog lovers

Jose and myself are both pet lovers who grew up around animals. Sadly, we do not have enough space at the moment to have a pet for a long-period. That’s why we think that this concept is brilliant! We could look after your pet if you have tight schedule or simply want to go for a holiday. While occasional work travel makes a permanent pet infeasible, we would love to welcome your pooch into our home! I am a retired civil engineer, and moved to Amsterdam 6 months ago. I currently have two cats, and used to have a lab-chow mix. I have sat for both dogs and cats, and love animals. Even my own lab-chow mix, Dante, was aggressive around small dogs (she saw them as prey) and had separation anxiety. She was able to respond to voice commands and learned how to heel. We helped ease her anxiety as well. Each dog is unique, and it is important to know how each dog will best respond to training based on their sensitivities. I am happy to consult with you about your dog's issues. My training philosophy is based on César Millán's (The Dog Whisperer's) approach to training, as well as my work with trainers for dog service animals. My current male cat, Chaos, is 15 years old. The high point of his day is his morning walk, followed by breakfast - to say he is food motivated is a an understatement. When I lived in Houston, I would take him for a walk in the neighborhood every day, and used to attract other cats on the walk. At times I had up to five cats going on walks with me!

I was very happy with the care Erik provided for our cat, Puck. When he first came to meet Puck, Erik brought catnip, which Puck clearly enjoyed, and spent a full hour playing with him. Puck was active and engaged the whole time, showing how comfortable and happy he was. The sitter also earned Puck’s trust by letting him curl up on their lap to purr, which speaks to the gentle and caring attention he gave. It was reassuring to know Puck was not only looked after but truly enjoyed his visits.

Gek op honden, katten en lange wandelingen!

Hoi! Ik ben gek op dieren en word vooral heel blij van honden en katten. Toen ik nog bij mijn ouders woonde, hadden we een hond waar ik altijd veel voor heb gezorgd. Niks fijners lekker samen zijn in de natuur

Mijn naam is Kim, ik woon in Zandvoort en ben ook veel te vinden in de duinen of op het strand. Al vanaf mijn geboorte woon in samen met katten (en vroeger ook knaagdieren). Opgegroeid met honden (Golden Retrievers). Heerlijk om een hond om je heen te hebben, te knuffelen, tegenaan te kletsen, en uit te laten. Ze zijn ten allen tijden welkom om overdag te komen of te logeren - dit geeft voor mij de voorkeur. In overleg kunnen we kijken wat het beste uitkomt/matcht voor baasje en hond. Flexibel in thuiswerken, maar de vrijdagen ben ik wel vaak op kantoor. Mijn vriend is ook opgevoed met honden (Catalaanse herders) en is af en toe ook beschikbaar om op te passen. In overleg met het baasje geven we dat ook aan. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar kleine tot middelgrote honden in verband met ons huis op de 1e en 2e etage met trap. In de buurt bij ons is veel voor de honden; Elswout, het strand en verschillende veldjes/bossen. Neem vooral contact op als je vragen hebt.

Maud is uiterst prettig en flexibel in communicatie. We hebben na een prettige kennismaking onze 5 maande oude pup met vertrouwen achtergelaten. Maud weet in te spelen op de behoeftes welke een pup nodig heeft, rust vs. uitdaging/beweging, waardoor onze Lio voldaan, maar zeker niet overprikkeld opgehaald kon worden. Zeker een aan te raden oppas, gezien onze pup volledig blij, kwispelend bij de voordeur van maud staat te wachten! Maud dankjewel!

We are a young French couple (Thomas & Agathe), we live in 100m2 apartments, we want to practice having a dog at home before adopting one in the future. They have patience, understanding and willingness to know about the dog's behaviour and his everyday schedule. Meet and greet went smoothly. They were listening each and everything instruction very well and asking relevant questions. They provided photos and updates everyday and were responding to the messages regularly. This made us stress free and we could enjoy our holiday perfectly well. Our doggie felt comfortable with them. When we picked him up we could see that he has a nice stay with them as he was looking happy and relaxed.
