I am Sam and I petsit! I have had cats throughout my childhood, and I petsit regularly since 2023. I am Dutch and I live next to station Lelylaan. Petsitting has adventure, you get to see different cities and neighborhoods, but more importantly I really love to take care of both cats and dogs. Whether they need more space, they are shy, or wild and curious, I really do love them all. It's the diversity in types of animals, and knowing how to bond with them, is what I like about it. I work full-time as a Senior Recruiter at Dexter Energy, a tech company that facilitates the renewable energy transition. I am a very enthusiastic person that loves podcasts, movies, music and cycling. Amsterdam-based, 35 years old, open to other cities in NL.

From the pictures Ira sent us every day, Maggie clearly had a great time while we were away... lots of walks, cuddles on the couch and plenty of attention, she seemed happy and relaxed and our house was also in perfect order. Ira has a really calm and confident energy about her that puts you at ease straight away, and you can see why dogs feel so comfortable around her. We felt completely at ease leaving Maggie and our home with her. We’d happily have Ira sit for us again and would highly recommend her.

Ik ben Thaise vrouw die 20 jaar in Amsterdam woont. Zelf hebben wij een ontzettend lieve Zilveren Labrador van 11 jaar oud. Mijn man werkt en mijn dagelijkse bezigheid is wandelen en spelen met onze hond. In plaats van een hond erbij nemen, hebben wij besloten om te gaan oppassen op honden. Honden: Soort honden waar wij op willen passen: Goed gesocialiseerde honden maximaal gemiddeld qua grootte. Geen vechthonden ras (pitbull, etc.). Onze dagelijks ritueel voor onze eigen hond: 07:30u Ontbijt en 1ste rondje voor plassen en poepen 10:00u Grote ronde in park of bos van circa 1 uur. 12:00u Tussendoortje 14:00u Grote ronde in park of bos/strand van circa 1 uur. 17:00u Diner en rondje voor plasje 20:00u Laatste rondje voor plasje en evt poepje voor t slapen gaan. Wat doe ik tijdens uitjes en tussen de uitjes door: Verschillende (bal)spelletjes, trek- en of apporteerspelletjes, zwemmen als t weer het toelaat. Goed om te weten: De hondjes zijn nooit alleen en krijgen veel aandacht. U kan altijd bellen, videocallen of om een foto vragen. Bij oudere hondjes, zoals de onze, wordt uiteraard rustiger gedaan. Wij wonen in Amsterdam Zuid, nabij Surinameplein, Vondelpark, Rembrandtpark. Katten: Katten nemen wij niet in huis. Wel is het mogelijk om katten aan huis te bezoeken: 2x per dag vers water geven, poepbak schoonmaken, eten geven en minimaal 30min spelen. Ervaring: Wij hebben ons hele leven honden en/of katten thuis gehad, dus veel ervaring met onze 4 voeters. Het oppassen op de huisdieren van iemand anders is wel nieuw voor ons en zijn dan ook uiterst voorzichtig. Wij nemen dan ook in beginfase maximaal 1 oppashond aan. Met vreemde honden zal er altijd een lange lijn gebruikt worden bij het wandelen/uitlaten, daar we uiteraard niet willen dat deze over straat gaat rennen op zoek naar t baasje. goed met honden en dieren in het algemeen

Vanaf mijn geboorte tot aan mijn studeren hebben we altijd honden in huis gehad op de Veluwe. In mijn tijd op Aruba (10 jaar) heb ik in huishoudens gewoond waar ik mede voor meerdere (grote) honden heb gezorgd. (Bull Mastif, Deense Dogs, labrador, en verschillende geadopteerde straathonden). Het komt vaak voor dat honden heel blij zijn om mij te zien. Dat komt denk ik doordat ik een bepaalde rust uitstraal, respect voor ze heb en geen gekke dingen met ze doe. Mijn werkleven in Amsterdam is niet geschikt voor huisdieren maar ik kan wellicht wel zo nu en dan voor huisdieren van anderen zorgen.

Joost is een echte dierenvriend. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je hond geen aandacht te kort komt. Afspraken waren makkelijk te maken. Aanrader!

Dierenvriend zoekt dieren vriendjes!

Ik ben een echte dierenvriend, maar vanwege een minder gestructureerd leven kan ik nu nog geen eigen hondje nemen. Vanwege een verandering in baan heb ik nu veel tijd en pas ik graag op jouw dierenvriend! Als kind ben ik opgegroeid met heel veel dieren om mij heen. Honden en katten mama 🤍

Ik hou super veel van dieren (is het gek als ik de meeste dieren leuker vind dan veel mensen?) Toen ik jonger was hebben we altijd huisdieren en katten gehad, en sinds ik op mezelf woon heb ik veel foster en oppas hondjes gehad. Ook heb ik meerdere malen een ‘house sit’ gedaan en op katten gepast. Shelter Dogs | Animal Behaviour Student

Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun.
