Hey there! We’re Niek and Eliza. Our pet-sitting adventure began in July 2021, sparked by Eliza’s deep love for animals. Back home, she has three dogs and five cats that mean the world to her. Niek joined recently and has happily embraced the pet life, now living with a dog and two bunnies he adores! What makes our pet-sitting unique? Ha honden-eigenaar, Ik ben altijd opgegroeid met honden. Leonbergers en Zwitserse herders. Grote honden ben ik dus gewend. Ik vind het heerlijk om ze uit te laten en met ze te knuffelen en spelen als ik bij mijn ouders ben. Helaas is het in verband met werk voor mij niet ideaal om hier een hond te nemen. Sinds ik mijn eigen hond heb, is mijn liefde voor dieren alleen maar groter geworden. Hi! My name is Eva. I’m 24 years old and originally I come from Estonia, Tallinn. I have lived in Amsterdam for 4 years now. The time here has been the best, but two things that I really miss the most are my two little chihuahua boys Frankie & Tito back at home. 🥰 On my profile picture you can see Tito, on the third picture you can see Frankie. 😉 Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring them here since sometimes my days can be long and a lot of other aspects, but they’re having the best time in Estonia with my parents though. ☺️ Overall - me, my family and my closest friends have all grew up with the dogs since I was small, so my love for the animals is really unconditonal! 🤍 So I feel that right now there is still a small gap remaining in my everyday life in Amsterdam - I don’t have a furry best friend by my side to go on a long walks with as I have used to, or a warm snuggle that keeps my mood up even on my worst days. ☹️ That’s why I’m on this app. My experience with dogs is based on my own dogs of course but at the same time when keeping friends' or family's animals. But I would say I rather feel more comfortable with the small and medium dogs. Since my schedule currently involves only work in an office for some days a week - for a start I would love to just go for a (long) walks or take care of them for a whole day, when I have days off. I’m located in De Baarsjes, but everything that is located in the ring is not a problem for me, since I’m moving by bike all the time! Hi there! My name is Joppe, and I live on a boat in the city centre if Amsterdam together with my girlfriend. Kees is out permanent roommate, he’s a mini dachshund who loves to play in Vondelpark everyday and make new friends. About myself, I’m an analyst that often works from home and through social media and group chats I see a lot of people struggling to find a sitter for their pet. While working at home I usually walk Kees every 2-3 hours, while going to dog parks almost everyday for a least 30 min. I’ve taken care of a few dogs before, and when taking them anywhere I make sure to but a tracking device on them (better be safe than sorry!). If your dog needs to stay overnight, that won’t be an issue as there is plenty of space here on the boat. Regarding this, no person of dog had ever fallen in the water - but just to be sure we always put the dogs life jackets on. Regarding your dog, my only wish is that he/she is comfortable being picked-up and being friendly to other dogs. The rest I can manage! Looking forward meeting you and your dog!
