Honden zijn voor mij echt familie. Mijn eigen honden Xuxa en Gigi heb ik al jarenlang met ontzettend veel liefde verzorgd. inmiddels zijn ze er niet meer en mis ik het dagelijks gezelschap van honden enorm. Hi, I'm Carla! Animals have always had a very special place in my life. Being around them makes me genuinely happy, and becoming a pet sitter is a way for me to spend more time doing something that truly fulfils me. My inspiration One of the biggest reasons behind this step is Zara, my American Bulldog. She was sweet, gentle and incredibly sociable, although, like the great lady she was , she could also be a little temperamental and selective! Zara taught me so much about respecting an animal's individual personality, needs and boundaries. When she passed away in October 2025, she left a huge space in my life. Her loss also made me realise how much being around animals means to me. It gave me an even stronger desire to spend my time caring for, learning from and simply being close to other animals. In many ways, becoming a pet sitter is my way of following that feeling. Our family and home I live with my husband and my teenage son, who both love animals just as much as I do and have been incredibly supportive of me taking this step. We also share our home with Bully, an American bully size pocket, a very special member of our family. I believe it's important to be completely transparent: we have a dog living in our home. For this reason, every dog staying with us will be carefully introduced and assessed beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I don't want to fill my home with as many dogs as possible. I prefer to offer a calm, loving family environment where every dog receives individual attention and care. A garden to play, relax and simply be a dog We have a large garden where dogs can enjoy the outdoors, play, explore and have some freedom. My garden is completely enclosed and secure, with mostly grass, giving dogs plenty of space to relax, explore and enjoy some outdoor time. I also enjoy providing mental enrichment activities, adapted to each dog's personality and needs. After all, keeping their minds active can be just as important or more then physical exercise! And of course, sometimes the best activity is doing absolutely nothing just simply relaxing on the grass and enjoying a little sun, when the Dutch weather allows it! Above all, I value the safety of every dog in my care. Our garden has been prepared with this in mind, so dogs can enjoy their time outside in a safe environment. My experience All my life i had contact with animals like dogs, cats, birds and even a very naughty parrot. Living with and caring for my own dogs has taught me a lot about routines, wellbeing and the importance of noticing even the smallest changes. I also have practical experience with dogs with allergies and sensitive skin, including skin-care routines and ongoing maintenance. Any specific care is always provided according to the owner's instructions and, where necessary, veterinary guidance. How I can help Loving home boarding for dogs, following a prior introduction Doggy day care Pet sitting and companionship Dog walks I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks through quite green surroundings, with canals and open spaces nearby. Every dog on my care will have 3 walks per day at least. There are also designated areas where dogs can safety enjoy some off- leash time. For safety reasons, i prefer to keep dogs on a leash during walks. The length of each walk depends on the will, energy and how much dog is having fun but in general, each walk lasts around 30 minutes, giving the dog a calm, relaxed moment. Home visits Feeding according to your pet's routine. Medication administration when clearly instructed. Can be daily skin care routine, pills or another type of medication. Playtime and mental enrichment Basic hygiene care. For over night stays, I have comfortable beds and crates available if necessary, depending on each dog's needs and what they are used to. Regular photo and video updates, ALWAYS For cats: Unfortunately, I can't host cats in my home because we have Bully, but I would be very happy to care for them in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. What matters most to me I know how difficult it can be to leave our pets in someone else's care. They are not "just animals", they are family. That's why I like to get to know every pet before caring for them. I want to understand their personality, routine, likes, dislikes and individual needs. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, respected and happy while you're away and to give you peace of mind knowing they are being cared for with genuine attention and affection. My dog Joe stayed with Carla and her family for a week and had a FANTASTIC TIME. Carla is sweet, caring, patient, and she truly connects with the animals under her care. She has a very sweet, cheerful dog of her own with an incredibly sociable character. Our dogs got along excellently. She lives on the edge of the woods, which is wonderful for the dogs. Additionally, she has a large garden where the dogs can play to their heart's content. Carla is very communicative and shares many cheerful updates and photos of the situation. I highly recommend Carla to anyone looking for a loving temporary family for their dog!!!

I have always been around animals and genuinely enjoy taking care of them. I have a 13-year-old male Chinchilla Persian cat who I have grown up with since I was little. When he was younger, he had some kidney problems, so I was closely involved in taking care of him and making sure he was comfortable and received the attention he needed. We also regularly take care of cats around our family home. In addition, our neighbour’s dog has been a part of our lives for the past seven years. Honden om mij heen, daar word ik blij van

Hoi! Sinds ik mij kan herinneren heb ik eigenlijk altijd dieren om mij heen gehad. Het begon met onze golden retriever Randy, daarna kwam corgi James en inmiddels is er Monty. Daarnaast hebben we thuis ook altijd konijnen en cavia’s gehad. Ik heb dus van jongs af aan veel voor dieren gezorgd en honden meegemaakt van pup tot op oudere leeftijd. Hoewel ik nog niet veel professionele ervaring als hondenoppas heb, heb ik wel genoeg persoonlijke ervaring. Naast onze eigen honden heb ik regelmatig op honden van familie, vrienden en kennissen gepast, van een dagje tot meerdere dagen achter elkaar. Ik ben dus zeker gewend om de zorg voor een hond over te nemen en rekening te houden met zijn of haar eigen ritme en gewoontes. Inmiddels woon ik al een aantal jaar op mezelf in Rotterdam. Monty komt natuurlijk nog regelmatig logeren, maar ik merk dat ik het gewoon mis om vaker een hond om me heen te hebben. Dat is eigenlijk ook de reden dat ik me hier heb aangemeld. Ik vang graag een hond bij mij thuis op, maar vind het net zo leuk om honden uit te laten. Ik ben graag buiten en vind het heerlijk om een flink stuk te wandelen, dus daarin pas ik me vooral aan aan wat een hond gewend is. Tegelijkertijd hoeft een hond van mij helemaal niet altijd actief of sociaal te zijn. Ik kan net zo genieten van een hond die graag bij je komt liggen als van een eigenwijs type dat vooral zijn eigen gang gaat. Ik vind het juist leuk dat iedere hond zijn eigen karakter en behoeftes heeft. Ik woon in een wat kleiner appartement zonder balkon, maar wel met een lift. In de omgeving zijn genoeg groene veldjes, parken en fijne routes om te wandelen. Ik vang maximaal één hond tegelijk op, zodat ik ook echt de tijd en aandacht voor hem of haar heb. Grotere honden zijn ook welkom, zolang ze gewend zijn aan het wonen in een kleiner appartement en zich daar prettig bij voelen. Wanneer ik een hond opvang, ben ik gewoon thuis. Mocht ik toch ergens naartoe gaan waar een hond mee kan, dan vind ik het leuk om hem of haar mee te nemen, natuurlijk alleen als het baasje daar ook prettig bij is. Voor bijvoorbeeld boodschappen of een klein rondje hardlopen zou een hond soms even alleen zijn. Iets over mezelf: ik ben 25, werk in het juridische veld en houd van koken, tennis, fotografie, goede wijn, de natuur en nieuwe dingen ontdekken. Van 26 september t/m 21 oktober ben ik vrij voordat mijn nieuwe baan begint en heb ik veel ruimte voor opvang en wandelingen. Daarna blijf ik graag oppassen en uitlaten, maar zal mijn beschikbaarheid vooral in de avonden, weekenden en af en toe op vrijdag zijn.

Merel werkt als cabin attendant bij KLM en heeft een wisselend rooster, waardoor ze na het vliegen regelmatig meerdere dagen vrij en thuis is. We kunnen onze roosters goed op elkaar afstemmen en vinden het belangrijk dat een hond niet structureel lang alleen hoeft te zijn.
