The Role
We’re looking for an experienced React JS Frontend Engineer to join our Product and Engineering Team, to lead our transition from Jquery to React.JS.
You will develop highly performant and simple to use user interfaces and ensure that these and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. Page speed and performance are always top of mind, as are the need for your code to be optimised for SEO. As well as transitioning our existing product to react, you will also build reusable components and front-end libraries for new user-facing features as well.
Our product team is multidisciplinary with design, frontend and backend engineering combined. We are passionate about building highly scalable, reliable, high performance products.

Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of front end development experience.
- You are highly proficient with JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- You have thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles along with popular frameworks such as Apollo/React Router.
- You have experience using Webpack, Jest, Enzyme, ES6, Babel, GraphQL, AMP, Typescript, Puppeteer, Workbox, NPM and building PWAs.
- You know how to communicate with GraphQL/RESTful APIs.
- You have experience with isomorphic javascript and exposure to Sass.
- A love for building out well-functioning products for real-world usage.
- Attention to detail when working with product and design to help design and implement functionality.
- Contributions to the open source community are a plus
