Hello, my name is Natalia and I am an international student from Mexico currently living in the Netherlands. I grew up with dogs and parrots, and two years ago I adopted a cat, and have experience taking care of them. My previous dogs passed away two years ago, but I learned how to take care of geriatric dogs, especially since one of them was diabetic. Additionally, I have experience taking care of puppies and kittens, since my family adopted new pets when COVID first started, so I learned to take care of younger animals.
Back in my home country, I was a volunteer at a local dog adoption center, where I was responsible for taking care of the dogs, cleaning after them, and taking them on walks around the block. I also helped find a suitable family for the dogs and helped in the adoption process of these dogs.
I find that I enjoy working with animals and being a pet sitter can be a good way to pass the time when I'm not studying. Additionally, I am an animal lover, and taking care of animals is something I miss doing now that I am no longer living at home and with my family. Being a pet sitter allows me to have that pet interaction without adopting a pet, which I am not able to do since I am a student, while also earning a little bit of money and spending my free time in a more fulfilling way.
