I am a South African who has always loved dogs (and most animals, including cats!). I got my first dogs (Jack Russells) when I was 9 years old and we had an unforgettable bond! They were both boys and had lots of energy. pre-pandemic, I was taking care of two female fox terrier mix dogs for family members. I took care of the dogs for 3 years whilst my family members were working outside of the country. They lived with me throughout those years and I thought of them as my own babies. We formed a great routine and bond together! I still send over presents to South Africa for them. We are thinking of getting a cat of our own, so cats are very welcome here.

I currently live with my husband and our dog, Tommy who is 3 years old. Tommy is the friendliest dog, ever! He is a Greek breed that is known for being friendly, playful and intelligent. He loves everyone and he is always looking for a way to spend his energy. He also gets along with cats (his previous sitter had a cat which he got along with as a puppy. He also tries to play with the cats he sees on the streets, even if they are not so friendly to him).. Tommy would make a great deputy pet sitter and he would be great company for your fur baby.

I have a hybrid job. I usually work from home 2-3 times a week. My husband usually works from home twice a week. There is therefore someone who is always home.

We live in an apartment with no garden at the moment but we live in the middle of a park so there are many opportunities to play outside and have fun! We make sure to go on regular walks with our dog and we sometimes take him to the dog beach close by where he gets to play with all the neighbourhood dogs. There is also a closed off play pin that is 5 minutes walk from us.
